Best of the clear protein options

I've tried all the brands of "clear" protein mixes now and this one is my favorite. 22g of protein for only 90 calories (most of the others have 20), mixes as well as all the other brands (yes you have to wait for the foam to settle and there will always be chunky bits with any kind of protein powder), and flavor is good - actually flavor is quite strong, so I mix with more water than recommended - it needs some watering down to be good. The cherry tastes exactly like cherry jolly ranchers!

Slam it

If your looking for a fast absorbing protein, this stuff is pretty good. One star reviews will always say “taste horrible” or “smells horrible”. Okay, maybe it smells a little funky, but if you want results, just drink it. Choke it down for goodness sake. You can’t expect it to taste like your generic sugary sports drinks. C’mon people. Work out hard and then slam it! Smh

Tastes good, mixes easy! 5 stars!

I purchased this product as a protein supplement alternative to use instead of typical protein powder or shakes.

Great stuff! I was initially concerned about the high amount of foam when I shook it up, but is dissipated within a minute. Taste is vaguely similar to a jolly rancher which should be a plus for most. Powder is superfine like bakers sugar and mixes with little effort in a shaker bottle. Price per serving could be a bit better, usually I aim for around 1$ per serving for my supplements but this was worth it for the novelty and to have something not chocolate flavored to drink after a workout. Overall I would recommend!

Delish

For a while now I've been using mainly the Isopure infusions, confused as to why more companies aren't making lighter, fruitier flavors instead of the usual chocolate this, peanut butter that, cake, cookie, whatever. I'm really glad Muscletech decided to get in on the game and I must say their flavors are solid. The orange dreamcicle is hype if you like that orange julius kind of thing. I have made quasi-bars, more like protein taffy combining this with a fiber syrup similar to fiberyum. This is the way if you're tired of the heavier flavors.. I like using those now in my morning coffee, or if I'm feeling like a milkshake for dessert.. but now I'm thinking of using this to flavor plain Greek yogurt,, or making protein popsicles. Take note: do NOT mix with with a measly 12oz of water as it will be insanely sweet. Isopure is a little better when it comes to the balance of sweetness. I use at least 16oz of water with this brand. I'd imagine you could mix the orange flavor with almond or regular milk more for a legit(ish) orange creamsicle experience.
MUSCLETECH: If you're listening! Please make protein bars with this same concept in mind. And add some fiber to them. If you can give me a fruity array of flavors with approx 10g of fiber, at least 20g protein, and under 200 calories I will buy from you forever.

Compliments Meals Better than Typical Proteins

Mix-ability: Just like all of the other clear whey proteins, it takes a minute for the foam to settle. I feel that some of the comments were a little dramatic in their descriptions, but I understand that it was their experience. I usually make it, let it sit in the fridge while I prepare my meal and its ready by the time I'm done.

Taste: Like others, I get the cherry jolly rancher taste. IMO, it's not too sweet or bitter, but taste just right. It's also not as heavy as typical protein or even other brands.

Overall: I've tried Isopure and Dymatize clear whey and both were easily as good. However, I will likely stick with this brand as it offers 2 more grams of protein per serving and is better priced compared to the other two. All taste great, but this is my choice.

worth it but mixability needs improvement

Orange tastes really good but between the three, cherry ia best.

3 star because it just does mix well. It takes about 4 hours for the powder to fully dissolve. otherwise this is the best hydrolyzed juice drink. it tastes like vitamin water. very easy on the stomach and isnt bloatening. I also recommend 1 scoop per 24 oz. not the recommended per 12 oz.
