Perfect Zinc and Copper product

These Chelated Zinc and Chelated Copper capsules by 365 are a terrific product. Whether you have a Zinc/Copper deficiency or the dose is ideal.

Jarrow Formula, which also carries good quality supplements, has their version of this project. To be completely honest, they bottle has an even cheaper unit price as of early 2020. However, I will say that their capsules only have 1 mg of Copper, whereas 365's has 2 mgs.

The quality is superb, and the price is unbeatable... what more can I say.

I know retailers (both Amazon and local ones) now have Zinc droppers in ionic form. I suppose those would be very good too and have superb absorption qualities as they are ionic. However, chelated minerals (Zinc, Copper, Magnesium, Calcium, etc.) , such as Glycinates and Citrates are absorbed quite well in the body (not a doctor, but I am a computational Chemist and Biologist ;))

Great vitamin at a great price.

Chelated Zinc is probably the most easily absorb-able form.

There is controversy over whether or not Zinc should be mixed with Copper since they cancel each other out. I'm sure the scientists at 365 (Whole Foods) are smart enough to formulate an effective vitamin. From what I have read, the ratio in these make it that you can still get the Zinc.

Reading online, you are supposed to take Zinc between meals for maximum absorption. The bottle suggests taking it with a meal. I have been taking it 1 hour before dinner.

I am going to warn you now. If you take zinc on an empty stomach you will feel like you are dying. No joke. If I take this and don't eat at least an hour later I will feel SO sick. So I would recommend taking with a meal unless you are really brave. It never gets better. I'm almost done with the bottle and I am not able to take it without feeling it a little bit. Eating will help!

Lastly, I'm taking this because I was on Birth Control for 10 years and Vegan for 8 years. After quitting the pill I have hormonal acne, acne scarring, chest acne, dandruff, etc. I have read that birth control and veganism can rob you or your vitamins and minerals so I am desperately trying to balance everything out. Acne and skin issues are often linked to zinc deficiency. I have not magically become more beautiful and my skin still has issues. I will continue to take zinc though.

It also helps with your immune system so you can't go wrong.

Adding my Zinc and Copper back to my diet. Seldom have colds. High-quality supplement.

I'm adding Zinc and Copper back to my diet since U.S. farming soil is bereft of minerals after two centuries of over-harvesting. This supplement is part of my armamentarium of minerals to restore mineral levels and balance. High-quality supplement Chelated with about 49% bioavailability vs. Zinc Sulfate. Satisifed!

I've been taking this for about a week now and I feel great. The price is really reasonable and I haven't had any side effects that are commonly associated with taking zinc. I've taken this both with and without food and I haven't had any problems at all.

Zinc will overpower copper and not allow the copper to be absorbed

A person's body will only receive the benefit from the zinc in this case. The presence of the copper is unnecessary. One would be better off taking just zinc. For best absorbency, zinc should not be taken with basically any other vitamins. It will decrease a person's ability to absorb any other vitamin or mineral taken with it.

Perfect amount of zinc.

I had a tingling and numbness in my tongue. My ENT doctor suggested I take zinc. He said all I needed was 11 mg a day.
I could find only 50 mg at the local pharmacies until I came across the 365 brand at Whole Foods. It is just 15 mg and worked like a charm. The tingling and numbness stopped almost immediately. I'm a believer.
