Product has changed and it's disgusting

I teach hot yoga so I spend around 15 hours a week sweating in a room over 90 degrees. I loved these electrolyte replacement packs and I have used them happily for years. My flavor of choice is acai berry. My employer stopped selling them so I ordered this pack from amazon a few months ago and it was great just like the ones I bought in the studio, but when I reordered them recently, the packaging is different. I thought maybe the company just updated their boxes but when I opened one it was not the same as before. The product has changed - there are only 30 instead of 32 packs in the box and they are not as full of powder as they used to be. Even worse they do not fizz and bubble and spread evenly throughout the water like before. Instead you pour it in your water and there is all this purple goop around the edges. I have to swirl it around and shake it up vigorously just to get it to mix at all. It looks and tastes disgusting. I tried a few more packs and they are all the same. I will not be ordering them again I'll have to find another alternative.

The end hath come

Like the fate of most good things this one has come to an end. The manufacturer reformulated this, not for the better, and cut the mass in half for the same price. No notice. The specs for the product on Amazon are still for the old product. Any company that does business like this loses me as a customer. Like most things in life, if you want it done right, do it yourself.

Dizziness, brain fog, leg cramps, dehydration GONE!

I have used this product in the past and I had forgotten how much better I felt when I was taking it daily. Like a lot of people out there when we start feeling better we start skipping out on our routine or we feel we don’t need it anymore. Recently I started getting some dizziness, brain fog, occasionally some leg and arm cramps and general lack of energy. At first I contributed this to my seasonal allergies and dismissed the symptoms as such. Then I thought back about these same symptoms years ago and remembered it was dehydration and not enough electrolytes in my body. I had purchased Power Pak then and I was shocked how quickly this product eliminated all of my symptoms. Literally within hours! Dehydration is no joke folks, it can completely take you down, and most people don’t even know they are dehydrated. As I have gotten older I understand the importance of these minerals and as a coffee and ice tea lover how much I need these electrolytes more. Please take the time and spend the few dollars to try this product if you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you’ll be amazed how much better you will feel. I don’t usually write reviews about products because most don’t impress me enough to bother, but if this review can help you take the chance to start feeling better too then I feel happy about taking the time. We all deserve to feel good no matter how old or young we are!!! Best of luck to all!!!

Added Xylitol which is a sugar alcohol.😳☹️.

I understand we Americans are more addicted to sugar than heroin, cocaine, or fake news, but can you please make an electrolyte/vitamin replacement that has no sugar or sugar substitutes in it. This variant has Xylitol, which is a sugar alcohol. I believe real sugar is better for you than some of these fake sugar substitutes. I can handle an electrolyte drink without the sweetners. I don’t drink this as a relaxing, tasteful alternative to coffee, wine, etc., I drink it for the electrolyte replacements so don’t care that it is sweetened. Please remove the harmful sugar and/or sugar substitutes from your “sugar-free” version of this product.

Way to many synthetic B vitamins and sugar. But better take after a meal.

I wanted to like this product. It tasted great compared to others but i didnt see the point of including both cane sugar and stevia. It could have just used stevia without adding toxic sugar. Also it is a way too high of dose of B vitamins. Between the 1 gram of sugar and the synthetic B vitamins, it had me wired in a uncomfortable heart racing kind of way for 2 hours. So this is something I couldn't take at night. I will have to try taking this after I eat and see if it reduces the heavy heart beating / racing. I bought this to replace the Dr Price brand of electrolyte packs. I chose this since it didnt have the metallic iron filings (ferrous fumarate) that Dr Price uses in there product. But I guess I have to keep searching for something that isn't bombarded with synthetic vitamins or iron filings.

Update 1/2/2019

Ok so i updated my review from 2 to 4 stars. First time i tried this on an empty stomach and the B vitamins got me wired. I tried it again but waited 30 minutes after a meal and the B vitamins weren't so wiring and it actually helped with hydration when I added another 100mg of magnesium. I didnt give it 5 stars since there is still no need to have both 1 gram of sugar and stevia. They could have used a nice stevia extract powder and used less than 50mg of stevia and it would be much more sweeter without the toxic sugar.

Good formula, a little too much sugar for my taste

What I don't understand about this product, is that they put sugar AND stevia in it. I would rather they choose one or the other, not both. It doesn't taste very good as is, so if it's not going to taste good, might as well just use stevia.

With that said, the formulation is pretty good, and despite the sugar, it still has value as a supplement. I would probably only use it post-workout, or when you need a blood sugar spike. Not just any old time.

I understand vitamins taste nasty and they need to mask the taste with sugars and such, but stevia can do that just fine by itself.
