I'm 69. Deal with arthritis pain especially in my knees and feet. I don't like to take too many pain killers and am not on prescribed medication by choice. So, I take turmeric and just started with this stuff. I did my research prior and this brand kept coming up in a good way. I just finished my first 8 oz container, blending two scoops into my morning coffee. I am honestly amazed, really, at how well this works! Now, with Spring finally approaching, I will be walking more, riding my bike and doing other physical activities more in conjunction with this product and the turmeric. I feel like I CAN do those things with much less pain and a bit more flexibility. There's a slight vanilla taste to it in my coffee, but along with my creamer, it actually tastes pretty good. I've not tried it with anything else. Seriously, I have not been a happy camper because my spirit has been willing, but my joints didn't agree. I'm much closer to living the way I want and need to.

I've been taking Great Lakes collagen (green canister) in every hot cuppa for about 9 years. I use a hand held electric frother to mix it up & it always turns out great. Marine collagen is slightly newer to the world of collagen peptides. This collagen, like every fish based collagen I've tried, has a slightly unpleasant smell, but thankfully it doesn't change the quality of my hot cuppas.<br /><br />I mainly consume certified organic ceremonial grade matcha (green tea) with a scant tsp of organic MCT oil (I can't digest dairy) & a tsp. of collagen. This is the main way I get my collagen. I will sometimes add it to a cuppa home made hot cocoa as well.<br /><br />As far as cold consumption goes, that's not my thing. I'm not a smoothie person or a protein/meal replacement shake person. I eat foods in their most natural whole form possible (I am also a full time eco farmer). I'm just not into drinking my "meals", so I cannot comment about how this is when taken cold.<br /><br />I know that fish is extremely important for ones overall health. I make sure to eat fish every single day. I'm not sure if fish collagen is better than bovine collagen, but I figure switching it up is probably a good idea if/when possible to get as much variety as possible in ones diet.<br /><br />Does collagen work? I believe that it does. Prior to taking it, my hair needed constant trims for the constant split ends. Now (now = the past 7 or 8 years) I get my hair cut once a year. My hair is very long; nearly to my bottom & straight. It has very little splitting even though I work outside all summer long (less so in the winter) tending my farm. I am also middle aged. My hair is in better condition (not counting the greys which started at age 19) then when I was in my 20's & early 30's.

I have been ordering through Amazon for the third time, Is the real product not a scam or fake. Is well sealed, kosher quality product and the best has no fillers

This is great stuff. Most of the collagen products I've tried taste like the rear end of a cow. This is not bad tasting at all (they use Stevia) and two little scoops in a glass of water is all you need.

Must like caramel. I find this works best in my coffee if I have added cream to it. It mellows out the caramel flavor. Otherwise I normally drink my coffee black, unsweetened. Nice paired with anything vanilla too. But just in black coffee? Not my thing.<br /><br />HOWEVER, I REALLY like it mixed with my matcha green tea powder. I am not a fan of the flavor matcha but I have been drinking it nearly daily for 10+ years. I always mask it with other flavors. This caramel flavored collagen powder does a superb job with it, and somehow I can't taste the matcha AND I CAN taste a much more creamy natural caramel flavor. Really blew my mind how the two blended together made each taste a whole lot better. I didnt think this would be a repurchase, but for making my matcha taste good in a very easy, quick way.. I may buy it for that alone.<br /><br />I imagine it can be added to smoothie, oats, muffins, etc<br /><br />I have also been using Great Lakes collagen for 10+ years. They were really the first on the scene for quality HYDOLYZED collagen peptides (hydrolyzed makes it easier to digest, and also allows it to be mixed into cold liquid. Other products were basically just gelatin). The change in appearance throws me off a bit, but it seems to be of same quality. This is different because it has the addition of MSM, Hyaluronic acid, and Vitamin C as well as flavor and sweetener. I expect it to work as intended. I am used to taking these exact supplements nearly every day, so unless I notice a decrease in effectiveness I wont be able to tell difference. Great Lakes is a trusted brand in my book, so I think it is fine.<br /><br />Expect a little more than half filled container, which means nothing. Doesn't mean it is missing any product. Most products are sold based on weight not volume. Also, there is settling. Even the product description states exactly this. Shows a graphic too.

really works for connective tissue, joints, skin and to heal gut and help sleep. It is not a quick fix ... you have to do it daily for several months to see all of the benefits.<br />This powder mixes easily and I mix it with a cup of warm milk about an hour before bedtime. At my age and with PsA and UMCTD it has really helped me to sleep much better and longer as I have tracked my sleep on my Apple Watch. This is very helpful for this senior gal.
