Thumbs up, but does it benefit me?
My dentist used to complain about gum recession and even suggested surgery to repair that. So I started using Listerine at the suggestion of my dental hygienist. Now, after several years of Listerine use, the dentist tells me that my oral health is among the best in his practice. I no longer hear any complaints about receding gums. My guess is that the Listerine reduces the number of harmful bacteria in my mouth, decreasing inflammation around the gums. But if that’s true, I have long wondered if it also reduces the number of “good bacteria” in my mouth. So I decided to try this product. There’s no problem with the taste - it seems as if you are sucking on a mildly flavored mint. I have had GI issues in the past with some probiotic yogurts, but this did not cause any intestinal upset. I’d love to be able to tell you if this product is benefitting me and how, but I don’t have any good way to assess that.
