Alive is a great multivitamin
I am relatively new to taking multivitamins and am somewhat skeptical when someone says "it makes me feel great" or "it gives me so much energy". To me, it doesn't seem like multivitamins are capable of making you feel any which way whether good or bad (unless you take it on an empty stomach of course). However, I have to say that Alive actually does make me feel pretty good. I used to take One a Day and before that I took Centrum Performance. I'm sure they were doing what they were supposed to do, but I never felt the energy boost from these brands. Then one day I came across Alive at CVS and decided to give it a try for two reasons. First, it doesn't contain iron and there are several reasons you may not want iron in a multivitamin (especially if you are a man).... You probably get enough from your daily meals and it is easy to ingest too much (which can damage organs/tissue) if you are taking a multivitamin as well. Also, if iron is present in your multivitamin then you have a better chance of getting an upset stomach when you take it. The second reason I decided to buy is because Alive uses natural blends of herbs, fruits, and vegetables to deliver your "energy boost" as opposed to caffeine which is what many other "energy" multivitamins use. I can honestly say that this multivitamin does the trick for me. It actually does make me feel a little bit more alert, but not in a jittery, caffeinated way. I would highly recommend trying this brand of multivitamin.
