Really Happy with this product

We really like this product and hope they don't change it. Until recently, we've been using an Olympian Labs product and were happy until they changed it--added silicon dioxide. We really hope Growing Naturals stays with a good thing. It tastes amazing with almond milk and banana, but is also quite good with just water. We highly recommend.

Great-tasting protein powder!

I've used this protein powder and their chocolate rice protein for awhile. They both taste amazing. Because I don't care for watery protein shakes--too diet-tasting--I add a 1/4 avocado in mine. It makes it tast and feel really rich and creamy like I'm cheating. Best to pre-cut the avocados when you freeze the leftovers for future shakes. :)

Misleading

My wife is celiac. We thought we found the magic product. It says above. Gluten free clearly. Yay. Also stated endorsed by celiac foundation. Ordered it. Came today. No celiac mention and the gluten free has been replaced by the term the smoother plant protein!!!! Gluten free was removed!!!! Only thing it said was flavor not derived from gluten. I did not get the product I wanted or was advertised. If you are in my predicament beware.

TEN STARS if I could do that! MY FAV

OK, normally I would suggest people try a small size of something to try, BUT as this is so much cheaper to get in the large size (about 7 bucks difference for twice as much, at least when I purchased it a few days ago), I would say go for the larger one.

PROS:
DIGESTIBILITY - huge for me - NOT all protein powders "sit" well, I can get acid reflux and I have a hiatal hernia
INGREDIENTS - Gee, I know what they are and there are only a few.
BLENDS - I don't get the gritty or clumps of flour feel with this one. It's very...smooth. Blends well.
PRICE - AGAIN, for over a month's supply (I have a smoothie pretty much once a day) VERY affordable in the large size
TASTE! - what good do all the others things do, if you don't like the taste? THIS is my fav vanilla protein powder
OH AND A PS...if you like powdered peanut butter like I do (love the taste, not the fat and there are some great powdered, low fat peanut butters!), add some to the vanilla....yum! Adds even more protein and not that many more calories or fat.

CONS:
None I can think of. I have tried a LOT of protein powders and come back to this one.

Great First Pea Protein Powder

This is my second protein powder I have ever tried; MRM whey protein powder is the only other protein powder I have consumed. Given my lack of protein powder variety, I have no other products for pea protein or vegetable based protein to compare to. That said, I really enjoyed this product, and I will definitely purchase again in the near future.

The following list are some of my impression of this powder (note it was mixed with just plain water):

-The vanilla flavor is subtle, and it is not overly sweet
-It has a light vegetable taste to it
-It has a thick consistency and it mixes well in water
-The texture is a little grainy/sandy
-With plain water, you need to re-stir if you let it sit long enough, as the powder and water seems to separate over time
-The dry powder itself seems to be "magnetic", as tends to stick to itself outwards

While I did not enjoy the grainy texture, it is no huge issue to me, and I still enjoy it on its own. Also, the "magnetic" characteristic the dry powder can result in a little messier pantry when scooping it out.

As my first pea protein powder, I am throughly pleased with the quality for the price I paid. Furthermore, the ingredient list is simple and short compared to other products I researched, which something I look for in processed products.

If you have not tried pea protein before, I believe this is a good place to start.

Peas that Please

I knew I needed to switch away from whey protein powder because every time I mixed it into a shake I just
didn't feel that well. Although I'm not lactose intolerant, I just always felt a little gassy and bloated. I ordered this
Pea Protein product and have used it to make about 8-10 smoothies. Voila, no more grumbling or slightly
nauseous feeling, those symptoms are gone. So, if you want to experiment and change your protein, give
this one a try. Mixed with fruit and coconut or almond milk plus a little stevia, you have a good tasting pick me up.
I always add about a 1/2 of filtered water or else the smoothie is too thick to my liking.
