They helped and if I forget to take them for a day or two, like forgetting to pack them on a trip, I could notice a difference in how I felt.<br /><br />Pros: less incidents of upset stomach or heartburn, it helped me to establish more consistent and solid BM (I have IBS), and I like having several months worth rather than buying monthly.<br /><br />Cons: It's recommend that these stay refrigerated for best results, which means having them shipped to you may not be the best idea. I've had them shipped from Amazon for convenience, but also purchased from local health food stores where they are kept cold. Disclaimer: I didn't notice a difference in efficacy in shipped room temp v. store bought out of a refrigerator. I would assume they aren't shipped to retailers cold, but refrigeration once in your possession will help to preserve the life of the ingredients.

You want to look for several strains in a probiotic, I believe, and this has 6 strains. Also potency is 4 billion total. It is a really good product at an amazing price for what it provides.
