I like these pills. They are easy to swallow and the coating lasts a few seconds in your mouth so I can dry swallow them. They are actually white but my phone skewed the color. There is 500 mg per tablet with vitamin D to aid in absorption, none of this multi-tablet per serving farce some companies use.<br /><br />I believe price should enter in to a rating though and these are 3 times more expensive than the last 600mg calcium tablets I bought and are very similar in shape and coating. I dropped one star since they do not seem to be a good value.

Review for: Pomona Wellness Calcium 500mg with Vitamin D<br /><br />Calcium is one of my daily pills and this bottle contains 500mg tablets. The daily dose for someone in my age range is 2000mg but that does not mean I need 4 of these tablets. I am taking only two and know that I get plenty of calcium from my meals. The pills are quite large, as are most calcium pills.<br /><br />My bottle arrived double sealed with an easy to open top. It has an expiration date of almost a year out. I don’t know where the product was sourced or manufactured because that information is not available on the label, something that has caused my rating to drop by a star.

They are vitamins, so without using this brand for several months I can't attest to their usefulness. I can say the product has no odor, the bottle well sealed. I had gone to a chewable before this and found I constantly forgot to take it, so a tablet makes more sense. It is easy to swallow and I can include it in my daily pill box. This is a non GMO product produced for a company in Atlanta, Georgia, but no mention on the bottle where it is actually made. It "may" be produced a factory that processes nuts, shellfish, milk, etc so if allergies are known, should probably stay away from this particular vitamin.

I have osteopenia (slightly decreased bone density, not quite osteoporosis level) as diagnosed by the endocrinologist, so I am supposed to be supplementing my vitamin D and my calcium, and I had been forgetting to do so for a while. This is also good for anyone who might be deficient in these areas, such as in the winter when you aren't getting as much vitamin D from the sunlight due to colder weather. Hoping this is helping me out now that I have been taking it daily!

Pomona Wellness Calcium 500mg with Vitamin D<br /><br />I got these because I prefer taking 500 mg Calcium pills twice a day rather than one 1000-mg pill per day. The other reason is that it also has vitamin D included. That's convenient instead of having to take another pill just for vitamin D. The tablet size is comparable to the size of the 500-mg Kirkland calcium tablet.
