Helps clear up acne

I bought this for my son who had severe cystic acne. This along with Vitamin D and Omega 3 Fatty Acids have made a significant improvement in my son's acne. If he misses taking the vitamins more than one day, he does have a flair up, but otherwise he is 90% better. Something that the dermatologist couldn't do!

An inexpensive anbd high quaity zinc supplement.

If you need a zinc supplement this one by Nature's Life is likely the best. This is because it is known that zinc removes copper from your cells and Nature's Life is the only zinc supplement that includes 2 MG of copper in each 30 MG capsule to replace that which is lost. Zinc is essential for prostate health thus the recommendation for men to eat oysters. Much as I like oysters I'm not inclined to eat a couple dozen every day. Much easier to take a zinc capsule each day. This product was recommended by my naturopath.

If you need Zinc (and we all do!). BUY THIS!

Excellent! This Zinc Picolinate comes in 30 mg capsules. That is 200% of daily recommended value. It is a small vegetarian capsule that is easy to swallow. There are 250 in a bottle and Nature's Life is one of the only Zinc's available (that I've found) with 2 mg of Copper added. Zinc is crucial for proper healthy protein synthesis (cell replication), normal metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates and fats. It says to take with food, but I have found it to still be gentle on my stomach when taken with just water.

Did not work for me unfortunately

I wanted to love the zinc supplement considering that it has copper in it as well. However, as soon as I began taking the supplement, I noticed that I started struggling with constipation. To be absolutely sure that it was this supplement, I stopped taking it and within a day I was back to normal. When I started to take it again, back to constipation. Disappointing!!!! I will need to try a different brand I suppose. Or maybe the smarter thing to do is just try to eat more foods that have high levels of zinc so I don't have to worry about things like this!

Also, be sure that you eat before you take this supplement. I made the mistake the first time of taking it without food, and proceeded to lay in bed nauseous for an hour :-(

Not as effective for libido

The Nature's Life brand, even with 30mg zinc is not as effective for me as http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0019GVXHS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3SY7P2NFH5KUX
The Nature's Life is in vegetarian capsule form and the Country Life is in tablet form although all other ingredients are the same.
Even though the Country Life is 5mg less, it gives me a more consistent libido (well known zinc effect) whereas the Nature's Life has no libido effect whatsoever. This is noticeable by the end of the day after taking the first dose. I used a half bottle, approximately 125 capsules before I went back to the last few tablets in the Country Life bottle that had been sitting in the back of the shelf for 125 days. Each day, by the end of the day, there was noticeable libido improvement *and* the bottle's expiration date is February *2013!*
All I can figure out is the Nature's Life capsule is just not absorbing as well as the Country Life tablet.
