Citrate?

Taste is okay but it has the wrong type of magnesium for calming. It has mangesium citrate, which is mostly used for constipation? Magnesium Glycinate is used for calming/stress/anxiety. For the price I feel it should have the right supplements

Tasty, but vastly overpriced.

Do you like fruit punch? Do you like oversweetened fruit punch? Then congratulations, this drink is for you.

It's quite tasty, and novel in that it contains saffron extract. I can only assume that the latter is what drives the cost to an eye-watering $2 per drink (as of this writing), since the other ingredients aren't particularly expensive in bulk. The primary sweetener is sugar, even; they could have spent a bit more and used only allulose to make it diabetic-friendly, gained that as a marketing point, but elected to use plain ol' sugar and sucralose (which may or may not have a blood-sugar effect) in addition. Puzzling.

Lets go down the list:

- Is it good? Yes. I like mine with hot water, which brings out the ridiculous sweetness more but makes for a cozy drink.

- Is it good for you? It gives you a good dose of magnesium, but aside from that, it's nutritionally void aside from having a few calories of table sugar in it. The saffron content might or might not help you, along with the melatonin and l-theanine, but on a cost-effectiveness basis you can certainly do better for any of those. Which brings us to...

- Is it worth the cost? Haha, no. Absolutely not. It's a fine, not exceptional, source of magnesium, and you can buy saffron in bulk to stir into your drink of choice for far cheaper. Melatonin and l-theanine are commonly available in both pill and powder forms.

I would recommend trying this product once, if it were on sale at steep discount. The cost is prohibitive for what you get otherwise.

tastes GOOD - helps me 1/2 the time = likely good for others.

It's a very good tasting punch flavor that's delicious both HOT and COLD.
It's a little sweet but not overboard, sweetened with 1 gram total =
organic sucrose (natural sugar) and the (artificial sweetener) sucralose.

Being as it's January I'm really into it HOT
But this is also a cold thirst quencher before bed.

The drink should be taken 30 minutes before bed in 8 - 12 oz water -
the powder instantly mixes in..
Don't know why, but there's a small amount of grit in the bottom of the cup

I've had this several nights in a row with the varied results - so I guess
this doesn't thoroughly work for me
> After the boiling water cools down a little - I drink the 12 oz in 5 minutes
and start feeling it affecting my head in the next 10.
> This shuts down alertness and with a heavy head I'm ready for bed.

> HALF the time this helps me get to sleep but I wake up in about an hour
and this doesn't help me get back to sleep for 3-4-5- hours.
THEN when I do it's a good deep sleep = and it's noon.
OR the other half groggy head - no sleep.

This contains only 3 mg melatonin but I was hoping
because of other good ingredients I'd find it effective = but not really.

From how it effects me, I feel it will likely work for others better
and the reason for 4 stars.

Seems pricey at 15 servings at the current $30.00
> Packaged conveniently for travel.

Love that it's 2 in one!

The fruit punch flavor is kinda weird but not entirely bad. I love that it's so easy to get the melatonin and magnesium that I need without having to swallow a ton of pills.

I definitely thought there was a typo on the bag because it says "affron" but it turns out that's a trademarked ingredient derived from Saffron.

I'll be honest--that "typo" really had me concerned about the quality. I was thinking if they can't get the spelling right, can I trust them to get the ingredients right?

Once I realized that it wasn't misspelled, I was relieved and decided to go ahead and try the drink.
It's not my favorite flavor. It's unlike any fruit punch I've ever had (guess I was expecting something more like Hawaiian Punch??) but it's not bad and it doesn't linger.

Seems as helpful as any of the other melatonin/magnesium supplements I've used. I'd say it's worth a shot if you're tired of the pill regimen and want to get a wider array of beneficial ingredients ingested easily.

Sweet but no knockout punch

I’ll confess that it was the Day of the Dead-inspired skull on the packaging that sold me on giving this concoction a try. I figured as long as there weren’t crossbones accompanying the skull, I’d be OK. I like the taste and was relieved that the punch flavor doesn’t come close to other fruit flavored punch drinks. The Salud punch tastes more to me like a combination of fresh fruits and spices. It’s a unique flavor that works particularly well as a hot drink. I’ve used it as a robust (although comparatively high priced) alternative to a nighttime tea. I can’t honestly claim that it’s helped induce or enhance my sleep and I can’t claim that it’s any more soothing than any other warm drink taken late at night, whether that’s tea or even warm milk. Those aren’t negatives – the drink, for me, simply doesn’t present what could be added positives.

I’d recommend using the largest capacity cup you have, because the flavor is more than potent enough for a standard 8oz cup. I’d say go 12oz or more. And be ready to stir frequently, because no how matter how much I stir (and I’m something of an obsessive stirrer) there’s always some undissolved residue at the bottom of my cup. Maybe crossbones don’t dissolve easily.

Really good hot!

Not only do I think this works well (helps me fall asleep and stay asleep with no restless legs) but it tastes good cold, and it tastes REALLy good hot! Highly recommended if you need a melatonin/magnesium supplement before bed.
