Helps me especially during cold weather

Many people with borderline cholesterol numbers are recommended niacin as a remedy. Also many people believe that niacin can promote better peripheral blood circulation and thus reduce cold fingers and toes. For both of those reasons I periodically take niacin and niacinamide. The latter won't cause the "pins and needles" sensation that often comes from conventional niacin.

I trust the Now brand for supplements from years of experience so I also feel confident ordering this formulation.

My only reservation is that this is a pretty high dose for most people-- so you might want to consult your doctor. The saving grace: if you typically take 500mg you can use a pill cutter. And your cost per dose will be lower than if you bought 500mg pills.

Reliable brand

This is a reliable brand for many of my supplement needs and this one is no different. It’s rather large and I’m not always good about taking it every day but I try to take it a few times a week and haven’t had any adverse reactions.

Mind the size / dose

Pills are big, and they pack 1000mg (about 60x what's recommended for a daily dose), so you are pretty much taking a 2-month dose at once... These dosages are still supposedly safe, but I wonder if I really need this much.

The pill comes with no marks to cut it, I was able to cut it in half easily with a knife, but 1/2 and 1/4 marks from factory would have been nice.

In the picture you can see these pills (white) vs a typical multivitamin (orange pill that I already consider large enough) vs a good old penny.

Good product but evaluate if you really need 1000 mg

I first found out about niacinamide about 2 years ago after my dermatologist recommended I start taking it to help improve my skin texture. Since them, I've been on and off with using niacinamide topicals or pills. To me, this is one of those items where I keep using it without knowing if I'm truly seeing benefits from it or not because I have other steps in my skincare routine, and everything seems to be working well together! Therefore, I keep it up.

As for these specific pills, they are large so if you have trouble swallowing large pills, these will be difficult. There is also a slight yucky taste because the pills are not coated, but its not an unbearable, lingering taste. Take with plenty of water, and the taste will go away quickly. I do think too much of a good thing can become bad. 1000 mg seems a bit excessive, but that should be determined with your doctor and you based on your diet and health. There's no line on the pill to cut it easily, so if 1000 mg is too much, buy a lower dosage. I also don't put any random branded supplements in my body, but I do trust the Now brand, so I decided to try these out. Once I'm done with it, though, I will probably buy a lower dosage next.

1000mg Niacinamide, no flush, and feeling pretty good!

Liking the energy production aspect of these no flush B3's. The capsule shaped tablet is ok to swallow, no taste to contend with, a plus for me.... You get 90 tablets, so approx. a 3 month supply at one a day, so a good value!
The B3's support cellular energy production, a good thing. The B's are a useful bunch of supplements to keep in your supplement arsenal, which I do, and this is one more, don't care for multiple vitamins, so this fits very nicely for me, as it's not, a multiple, just plain Niacinamide 1000mg. I may be benefitting from this already IMO, but realize it will take a few wks to really assess in depth.
My immediate impression is that I like them, I like taking them, no typical flushing affiliated with certain forms of niacin, and no side effects at any level. I would say try them, they're good so far!
