I take this supplement on a daily basis. It has prevented me thus far from succumbing to common flus & colds. When everyone else is constantly sick all winter at work, I am immune. Forget the flu vaccine, this is the way to go, especially this time of year. I originally bought as a remedy for acne. I swear by this product and will take it for life. Tips for those first trying: sip slowly throughout the day, dilute well, and don't take on an empty stomach. If you drink too much on an empty stomach you will projectile vomit. You can fine tune your ratio and figure out how much you can tolerate, just start slowly. Some people don't like the metallic taste but you will get used to it. I can't even taste it now. I add it to my water bottle and drink throughout the day. My daily dose is 0.5 ml to 1L of water. I highly recommend for those who are prone to sickness. I used to get head colds, sinus infections, and the flu every year. Not any more! A small price to pay to not be sick!

The devil is a lie!!
I can’t get past the taste! Absolutely wretched! It will first burn your tongue like the depths of hell! Then, even after you’ve swallowed, the taste morphs into a weird coated feeling all over your tongue! This is reminiscent of zinc chewables or lozenges as far as taste. I became woozy, lightheaded, and nauseated! Now I’m just praying my stomach doesn’t start burning. I took a small dose, 0.25mL on a full stomach. Unsure I’ll ever be able to brave this again. I gave two stars for now because I have to see how it actually absorbs and works. The taste alone deserves no stars.

We finally realized it is best disguised in a smoothie
It was an adventure trying to find a way to take this stuff without gagging. It has such a strong, lingering taste I can't describe. We finally realized it is best disguised in a smoothie. Squeezed lemon isn't so bad in carrying the taste either, the tanginess seems to take away some of that zinc/copper sting. But, we continue to purchase this product bc we can feel the difference in comparison to other brands. Bioavailability must be high in this one.

Be very cautious of the serving size.
Voluntary review, I'm not receiving anything for it.

I want to start with a word of caution- keep in mind that you do not need to take a whole entire serving. If I recall, the daily ***upper limit*** for Zinc is 40mg. This is 50mg/serving. Needless to say, though they recommend between "0.5 to 1.25ml", that is a bit reckless on the part of Trace Minerals for not mentioning the UL anywhere on the label, but it is nice to know that you'll be getting more than the 48 servings-per-container out of this bottle.

The taste- this is incredibly disgusting straight. But I can handle it since I take it with a bit of lemon juice onto the back of my tongue. Honestly, in spite of the taste I think I'll be ordering this again.

Should you get it though? I don't know. I chose this because it is zinc in liquid form, with a good number of servings/container, coming at a great price in a glass bottle. Hope this helps.

Finally, my search for quality Zinc is over.
After experimenting with various incarnations of Zinc supplements, I can honestly say that this liquid formula is far more nutritionally superior to all other tablet/pill or even liquid forms of this important element. Its price vs strength and bottle size is a real winner for me.

A word of caution for those who are easily offended by unpleasant tastes:
I now don't experience that nauseous feeling in my stomach after taking Zinc in a pill form, though I should add that this liquid Zinc has also very distinctly unpleasant (and I wouldn't be afraid to say "disgusting") both, the taste and aftertaste, though I believe it's the direct result of the way it's been made.
Given a choice between the two forms, when the pill causes me to feel REALLY nauseous in my stomach and the liquid form that just "tastes awful", I'll choose the liquid form, when you can instantly kill its aftertaste with a bite on a lemon or similar pungent foods, and though I try to mask its taste with other various items I add to my morning water routine (ACV, lime, etc.), its strong flavor still comes through and you'll definitely taste it, no matter what -- just to a lesser degree....
Read somewhere that other reviewers gave up on it due to its bad taste, but to me its usefulness is more important than trying to please my upper palette... :)

This formula has useful additional ingredients and in proper combination/ratio needed to assimilate, when taking Zinc (i.e. Zinc-to-Copper ratio) and being in a liquid form it's easily absorbed. Also, men will definitely notice its action, as well as its wound healing speed.
Overall I'm very happy with this formula, particularly given its importance during these tumultuous times, and despite its really bad taste I still give it 5 stars.

Good supplement, FOUL taste
I was looking for a zinc supplement that did not have sugar added to it and found this. It does fit that bill. The dropper is pretty great as well and has marked out what a full and half dropper are--something I wish other companies would do. The problem is that it tastes AWFUL--somehow slimy (I know that's not actually a flavor) and metallic all at once. I've choked down a lot of foul-tasting concoctions in attempts to improve my health, but this one tops them all. The directions (which are in teeny tiny print) recommend taking it throughout the day and on a full stomach. The full stomach is a great idea, but I'd much rather get it down in one go and have it over for the day (which I do and have suffered no ill effects, though your milage may vary). It does what it promises and is a great source of zinc as well as copper, but I will not be buying this product again unless they start making it in gelcap form or in some form where I don't have to taste it.
