I usually don't review a supplement too soon after receiving it but this one is worth the review. I bought this because of the anti-aging properties but it worked on something I wasn't expecting... So for the last few months I have been suffering with bursitis in my hip after sitting for long periods. I've tried everything short of getting a cortisone shot to help it and the only thing that works is ibuprofen and that only dulls it. So I took this for about three days and noticed that my hip wasn't in as my pain. But on day four the pain was gone! It hasn't returned and it's been a week now! This supplement is the only thing I changed. Here's to hoping it stays gone and I will keep taking this to make sure.

This is good quality collagen. I got it mainly for myself (a late 30s man) because of its purported benefits to hair and joint health. My wife has also used this as well for some of the supposed benefits this has in terms of promoting youthful appearance.<br /><br />This is pretty reasonably priced. I've seen marine collagen sell for at least 10 dollars more for almost the same size. The quality also seems to be good. Now, the claim that this is unflavored is not quite true. It's relatively mild, but if you just mix it in water, it's fairly fishy and not super pleasant. You can try to hide it in something else, but it's never completely hidden.<br /><br />So, for the price and quality, it's a good deal. This is my second container of collagen and my first of the fish derived. I'd read that fish collagen is absorbed easier than the other. I'm using it in hopes of keeping healthy skin and since I'm only into the second month of using the stuff I can't speak to its effectiveness.<br />However, either I got a particularly fishy batch or I have an far above everage sense of smell 'cos this stuff smells like a dirty aquarium. I'm frantically trying to find something to mix it with that masks the smell, it's really strong - I'm mixing it at arms length and with my face turned away and I can still get that old eau d' minnow bucket. I'm only on my 3rd serving and I'm already dreading the the daily dose, but I'm too cheap to throw it out.<br />So. it stinks, that's my only comment at this time. If you have a good nose be ready to suffer.

I probably should wait to review this Hydrolyzed Marine Collagen powder, but I'll be back to add/edit when and if -both- my husband and I start feeling the benefits of taking this supplement. I have to say, this Collagen does not have any distinct smell nor does it taste like fish or anything! My husband will not take anything that has the slightest smell or unpleasant taste and -this morning- he drank this Collagen (mixed in his orange juice) like nothing! So, as far as people who might be hesitant to buy this product because you are thinking it will smell or taste terrible, rest assured you won't even know it's there. Make sure to have a battery-operated or electric little mixer (I used our hand-held frother) to mix-in the powder in your orange juice well. Fingers crossed this collagen helps my fibromyalgia (I refuse to take medication, but have been living with pain for years!) and my husband's knees. Will keep you posted.<br />UPDATE: April 5th, 2018<br />I -sadly- stopped taking this Marine Collagen for almost two months, as I had to undergo -a third- surgery, but began taking it again one week ago, so -as far as noticing a difference in pain or mobility- I cannot attest to its effectiveness yet. Long story short: My husband has been taking it non-stop and his knees have not bothered him again. He started feeling much better in about two weeks after. The pain on his right knee -before taking Marine Collagen- was so bad, he had started using crutches. Well, he is playing golf again and -obviously- not using crutches anymore. I am so happy we -finally- found something that actually works after trying glucosamine, chondroitin, and a myriad of other supplements and medications. I just wish they offered a discount for automatic monthly delivery (or whatever they call it), as it is expensive (for our budget).

I won’t be buying this again. The reviews about not tasting bad are correct, as long as you can swallow the clumps and hold your breath while drinking. Short of pulling out the blender or Ninja this product will not mix even when pouring slowly and mixing while pouring. I’ve tried everything.

I purchased this Marine Collagen Peptides few weeks days ago and I only started using it a couple days ago, so I'll have to wait to see what the overall effects are. I can tell you that it is absolutely tasteless and it has no smell. It dissolves easily in room temperature water or fruit juice. I've been mixing 1 table spoon twice a day with my drinks. I don't seem to ache as much so I used so I'll have to keep using it to see what sort of long term effects it will bring about
