I have never had protein powder this consistency or taste and I’ve had soy, hemp, pea and whey powders from many different companies. The flavor startled and alerted me. It tastes strongly of what I only could describe as chemical-like. Then again, I’m not a wordsmith.<br /><br />I really wanted to give this brand a chance so I messaged them through amazon and received no response.<br />I went through their email posted on their website and was graciously granted a response.<br />I expressed my concern and asked if they could share results of the “third party testing” only to receive the response “No, sorry. It is against our company policy”.<br />I don’t understand this “policy” of not sharing the results of the testing if you believe in the product you are selling.<br /><br />I went back to MetRx. I broke my rule with supplements... I went with one that hadn’t been tested on either Labdoor or consumerlabs.<br />I will never make this mistake again.<br /><br />Who knows it could have been my batch or some kind of user error, however, I have quite the sample size of protein bought on amazon and encountered this only with this particular protein.

I love this stuff! Just as it says, unflavored and no weird chalk-like aftertaste. Although not my thing to drink with just water. I prefer flavor so i have to add some while others may feel they can drank it as is. So these are the things I picked up on right off the bat.<br /><br />1. Instead of looking grainy like most similar products, it actually looks more like a powder.<br />2. It mixes really well. I can finally use a spoon instead of protein mix shake bottles.<br />3. i can add this to foods I make as well. Now i can have protein with everything.<br />3. When adding it with milk (regular or chocolate) it did not alter the taste at all. In fact with the milk i have been eating cereal and its as if I never put anything in it. I can now eat coco pebbles and still get all the proteins.<br />4. I added this with ice cream... Nuff said... So good!<br /><br />I was a little skeptical at first. The product is new and no one has commented on it. Im the first one writing a review. but I'm actually glad I purchased this product and plan to add it to my normal routine orders. Edit: I purchased the unflavored and it is much better than the vanilla. I think this brand is an excellent value, that's why I wanted to give it another chance.<br />---------<br />Original post:<br />The taste is so bad I can barely stand to swallow it.<br /><br />I bought it because it was a great deal, and now I see why. I've never tried this brand and I bought vanilla because it was a few dollars cheaper than the chocolate, which is what I always choose. Big mistake! I'll be lucky to finish the whole 5lbs of this. I cant seem to mask the awful taste. Hopefully, the chocolate flavor isn't this bad, but honestly, I probably just wont buy the brand again. Shame.

I've tried a few of the grass fed whey protein with my favorite being the plain BN grass fed whey protein here on Amazon. This protein not sure what it is, maybe one of the additives but makes my stomach uneasy after I take it. I'm past my return date (not sure you can return this anyway) so just have to chalk it up as a learning experience.

I don't know why it tastes so bad. I've had protein powders with almost identical ingredients that didn't taste this terrible. I'm assuming it's the stevia. It's so bitter. I can't force myself to drink this. If you don't mind really bitter stevia you might like this. It disnt mix very well either, very lumpy.

This protein has low sugar levels plus it's tasteless. The amino acid profile is very good too.
