I've been trying various collagen powders over the past several months, but I had yet to try fish collagen. I researched the (many) benefits and then really looked forward to using this powder.<br /><br />Even when the container was fully sealed, the berry scent was noticeable and quite strong. Since I usually add flavorings into my beverages when I use collagen powders, I thought that meant that I would be able to skip that step with this one. I was mistaken.<br /><br />Yes, there is a berry flavor, which isn't bad. However, there is also a fishy, savory aftertaste that is pretty strong and not pleasant. Even after I add additional flavorings, I can still taste it. I won't say it's a deal-breaker because I do want to see if I'll start noticing the benefits of this fish collagen, but I'm really not a fan of the taste.<br /><br />That said, the powder dissolves quickly and completely. (It does make drinks kind of foamy/frothy, though.)<br /><br />Also, this is supposed to contain a scoop, but I have yet to find it, so it's either buried quite deeply or is missing. Again, that's not a huge deal, but I do have to say that if the latter proves to be the case, I would expect more (and better) of a product that costs so much.<br /><br />The cost is the final issue that I wanted to mention. There is a lot of powder in the container, so this will last a while. However, given the taste issue (and potential lack of scoop), I can't say that I think that a price point that high is justified.<br /><br />As of right now, I can say that this powder is just okay, but the taste is really not great. Should I start to notice any of the benefits this is supposed to provide, I'll update my review to include that information.

I do appreciate that this powder not only has marine collagen but also includes biotin, MSM, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C / E & 10Q. The amounts contained are adequate but not stellar, so I would suggest this as a 'maintenance' powder, not a starter. Meaning that if you're just starting collagen therapy it's best to take a high dose powder for the first 3 months to get it in the system and start seeing results. Once it starts working you can titrate down to a maintenance powder that works off of the foundation you already set. If this is your starter powder, then it would be better to take a dose and a half or double. My mind blanked over the fact that this is berry flavored. Normally I prefer plain. I think I saw all the additional supplements included in this and hit the order button. It has a light, pleasant berry flavor. Not too strong or fake tasting. I add it to vanilla based smoothies, or add it to yogurt. I havent tried it in just water, nor would I. It has just under 5 grams of marine collagen. This would be low for bovine collagen, but it is about on point for a serving of marine collagen, as it absorbs easier and dont need as much. Marine collagen is pricier than bovine. Collagen with added supplements are usually pricier than those without. This has good amount of supporting supplements, all which help increase absorption and availability. Helps increase collagen production. These days i rarely buy collagen supplements without it.<br /><br />60 servings in the 300 gram container<br />100 servings in the 500 gram container<br />So price is relative.

The ingredients and quality of this particular one is quite good. My only issue would be that a serving with this brand is only 5 grams and I’m used to taking 20 a day, 10 at the least. I do know that I’ve tried some high end collagens that cost much more than this brand, which is far from cheap in price and some were the same small amount so, I figure it may have to do with the actual type or process of making it that makes the difference but, I don’t know.<br /> Only time and dedication will tell. Until then, I can say that it’s clean and made in an GMP Certified Facility, is Kosher and it’s made in Israel. Also, it was made with a slight berry flavor and smells decent but, it’s not a great taste. It’s easily mixed in water and I I just take a sip of juice afterwards and all is well. It arrived quickly and was sealed well too. I’m glad I tried it and hope they supply Testing and Manufacturing info in the future, at least on the web page.

This collagen 7 is the best product I ordered so far.<br />The texture of the powder is great and the the taste is good as well!
