I have had a smoothie with this protein powder daily for nearly four years. I was nervous getting the Subscribe & Save email noting that the old powder was being discontinued but I held out hope since it said "improved flavor" on the packaging. I had my first smoothie with this powder a few days ago and it just is not the same...at all! The flavor is really, really not good--pea protein being a hugely dominant taste--and the after taste reminds me of sugar-free candy (like that sucralose taste). I am honestly devastated as this smoothie is a staple to my morning and general diet. I will now be searching for a new protein powder.

Same review as chocolate flavor ... tried both flavors in case one was better but no.<br />Very disappointed in the new formula - tastes terrible ....like artificial sweetener and a bitter after taste. It doesn’t shake like it used to either with my blender ball bottle.. it chunks up with those awful little powder balls. Maybe it blends better in an actual blender but I don’t have time to do that daily.<br />I hate that I have to find a replacement as this was my go-to.

First off I want to say I love Amazing Grass products. My hubby and I have bought the Plant Protein Blend All-In-One Shake in the Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor for years. No hate just throwing my two cents comparing the powder from 2021 and the new formula container I purchased a few weeks ago.<br /><br />When trying this with oat milk I instantly realized it tasted sweeter. I love sweet foods and sweets in general but it tasted a tad too sweet for my taste. The previous formula of the chocolate peanut butter used '2 grams of stevia leaf extract for the 792 gram powder size container' versus the ' 1 gram stevia leaf (Reb A) for the new reformulated 756 grams container' Even though it's one gram less the stevia leaf (Reb A) tastes sweeter to me.<br /><br />Other info for the 'before' and 'current formula' shown in photos.<br /><br />The older formula cost $39.99 and the new one was $44.85 with a coupon knocked it down to around $42. I don't mind shelling out money for quality products. But I feel a little let down when the amount of product for the new formula is less. Plus I enjoyed having more dietary fiber in the previous formula.

Let me start by saying I have been drinking the old version (Chocolate PB Protein Powder - still organic but didn't say organic on the front) for a couple of years. I loved it so much, I gifted it to several people and told many about it. It was my favorite. This new version is disgusting. It tastes predominantly like Stevia, which I hate in a protein shake. I loved the old version so much because it didn't taste like Stevia. I won't buy this new version again. I'm so disappointed.

I've been using this protein powder every single day for the last SEVEN years. I've sold a bunch of my friends on it. I travel with it. I tried every protein powder out there, and this was by far the best.<br /><br />When they first changed the formula a few years ago, it was for the worse, but I stuck it out. It was not as good as before, but still tolerable.<br /><br />But this most recent change is absolutely AWFUL. I thought maybe I was imagining it at first, so I took a break, then came back to it several weeks later and could not even finish my smoothie. It was so disgusting and made my stomach upset. I tried and tried and tried but I cannot do it. I'm done.<br /><br />It absolutely breaks my heart after loving this product for nearly a decade and using it every single day in that time period, but there's no way I'm buying it again unless they make a huge announcement about reverting back to the old formula. And now I have almost a full container of $45 protein powder wasted. I'm pissed.<br /><br />Such a disappointment. If you read the reviews, not a single person is happy with the change, and like me, many people have stopped buying. Hopefully their sales crash so much that they see what they've done and switch back to the previous version.
