Here are the Supplement Facts - from the label

Serving Size: 3 capsules.
Servings per container: 83

Amount per serving:
Vitamin D (as Cholecalciferol) = 200 IU
Calcium (as Calcium carbonate/citrate/malate) = 500 mg
Magnesium (as Magnesium oxide/citrate/aspartate) = 250 mg

Other ingredients: Gelatin (capsule), cellulose, magnesium stearate.

Values are too low for my targeted daily intakes: at least 2000 IU of Vitamin D and 400 mg of Magnesium daily.
It would definitely add too many capsules to a daily regimen in order to reach higher potency levels.

Hubby is loyal to this brand and the results he's had!

My husband's doctor prescribed two products by Nature's Way (Calcium Mag & D and Vitamin B2 w/ Riboflavin) for him for various symptoms he had. Doc specified Nature's Way brand, and my husband has been using them for a couple months. His symptoms (GI related, mainly, but also sluggishness) are virtually gone. That was until he ran out of his vitamins and the symptoms returned within a week. I tried buying a different brand as it was all that was available at a particular store to get him started again. Hubby wasn't interested at all in changing brands, so I ultimately searched and found these on here. The price here is quite a bit less than our local vitamin store...... win win. :)

Eating Chocolate??

I love dark chocolate, however recently have been getting foot cramps at night and wondered why. After doing a bit of research it seems chocolate inhibits healthful overall mineralization of the body. If I take two caps of this supplement a day, no foot cramps. I cut down on the chocolate and continue taking my Cal/Mag & D, feeling this a good compromise. Please note, foot cramps may be just an indication that my body is not taking in the minerals it needs from other foods in my diet.

MUCH EASIER TO SWALLOW

I was using another prescriptive product in a huge, caplet form that my Urologist recommended following Prostate Cancer treatment with radiation. He wanted to provide protection for bone loss or the potential for brittle bones that is common to this type of treatment. I couldn't easily swallow the huge tabs and other interventions for breaking the up were not satisfactory, so I shopped for an alternative. This product in it's 500 MG sized capsules is perfect.... has all the benefits of the prescriptive product, is value priced, and certainly much easier to swallow!

three pills only gives you 50% of your RDA of calcium...

I purchased this as I've had good fortune with Nature's Way supplements before. I was really surprised when this arrived to see that you have to take three pills to receive only half of the calcium you need in a day. If you take three in the morning and three at night to hit 100% of your RDA, this bottle would only last you two or three weeks. The pills themselves are fine, but I will not reorder something that is so impractical in terms of dosage.
