I started my Amazon quest in search of a protein whey isolate without a ton of filler and junk, and as my fingers hit the "search" button, atop the listings sat the holy grail of protein powders. Unbeknownst to me at the time, the cinnamon toast crunch flavor of this holy concoction would blow my socks off. To say it's great is an understatement. I'd like to think the pope bathes himself in this at the Vatican. This product is straight to the point, has a hefty amount of protein, and mixes nicely in almond milk. The taste is exquisite and encaptures the Cinnamon Toast Crunch bliss that creates fireworks on the tongue and brings you back to your childhood watching Saturday morning cartoons. Drinking this shake after a hard workout is like discovering Prince's Super Bowl performance for the first time. It's unrivaled. It's delicious. It's protein in a shake. What I'm trying to say here is I liked it.
TLDR: If you like weird bitter chemical flavors loaded with questionable artificial sweeteners stomach pains/cramps and EXPLOSIVE diarrhea and farts this is the protein powder for you.

Long version: I love Gethin’s workout programs so when I heard he was putting his name on a supplement line and allegedly “would be involved in the process to ensure only the best quality” Inwas initially ecstatic… I really wanted to like this protein, guess I too fell for the Kris Gethin “we make the best supplements” marketing hype machine. I’ve tried many protein powders in my day and this is pretty bad. It has this awful crack candy flavor and bitter weird chemical aftertaste. I am mildly lactose intolerant but normally never have a bad reaction from whey protein ISOLATE. But I ALWAYS have a bad reaction from whey protein CONCENTRATE… this stuff destroys my stomach! Did someone cut this with whey protein concentrate just to save a few bucks? Maybe.

Also it has this awful artificial sweetener that really nobody should be putting in their body (do your research the stuff is bad). I had high hopes but it doesn’t live up to the hype and is actually worse than some of the cheaper W.P. Isolates I’ve tried!
I have used this brand of protein powder for over a year now, and I always order the Cinnamon Roll. Apparently other reviewers consider it a pretty gross flavor, but I’ve always liked it. I prefer this flavor also because it has stevia instead of Splenda as a sweetener (the other flavors use Splenda).

That being said, clearly I’m particular about the flavor I order. I haven’t had any issues with the order until this week: this is now the THIRD time IN A ROW I’m having to return the protein because they keep sending me chocolate peanut butter. Look, I don’t mind that flavor, but when I click on a specific flavor, I expect to be shipped that specific flavor. That’s the basic tenet of placing an order. Why does this keep happening?? Please send me my Cinnamon Roll!
I've been a purist regarding my protein, and have been using various kinds for 40+ years. So when an amateur bodybuilder who was earning his Pro card mentioned this in his regimen, I poo poo'd it. He mentioned what it did for him. The problem was SO much additives, artificial flavors, colors and sweeteners in the brand he used...I just couldn't expose myself to that. And, knowing me, IF it did anything for me, my conscience would rapidly stop me from taking it. Now enter Kaged Muscle Isolate...

I use and recommend a lot of the KM brand because of transparency and purity. I buy most of it right here on Amazon. I'm also on Kris' email list. When he first announced this...I said, "Isolate? I'll pass." But then the second time he emailed, he gave me more reason to be curious and I remembered my bodybuilding friend's words. So...I went over and studied it, what was and was NOT in it, and decided to purchase it. At that time, it wasn't listed on Amazon. So I purchased it directly from KM. Now for my results...and why THIS has earned a place in my regimen...

First, I purchased the vanilla -- not a chocolate protein fan. I thought it was rather sweet, but not unbearably sweet like Kasein. Next, it mixed easily in cold water without frothing. I use my Vitamix on low for about 10-15 seconds. No gagging, stomach upset or lethargy. No change in my energy level (as in decreasing it). It did not feel like a "load" to my body. So all that was good. Now for the effect I got...

My knees are my pain spot, and for some reason, the media surface remained sore. I haul stuff daily, including up and down stairs. Something just said I should try this to aid recovery and strengthen that area because...it is sucked up by the body rapidly where it needs to go. Well, that is exactly what happened, and the area appeared visibly better, stronger and less sore. My forearms also appear more cut and tight. So...I'm now going to use this post workout as I now know it will go to those places in need.

I also use this when I get home too late to really eat, especially if I'm tempted to eat pasta late at night. I wake up with a little present -- the fatty area are are noticeably more mobile, as in my body is resorbing it. So this will most definitely aid in my weightloss and cutting goals.

Thanks, Kris, for making me a believer in whey isolates...

UPDATE: September 2020 ~ this newest version is SO much better than the previous one. Sucralose was removed and the flavor is better. I never finished the first tub due to the Sucralose but I'm concerned about how FAST I'm going to finish the improved version. Now this is regarding only the Vanilla flavor. Other flavors may have ingredients like those in my old Vanilla Isolate (just reviewed the label while visiting my storage). Keep up the good work KM.
Not the biggest chocolate protein lover so tried this s’mores expecting a mild flavor, not mild at all. Seems like an after taste of a medicine. Tried to hype myself up three different times and each time I can not finish the shaker.
Trying to use it for protein shakes at home because I can not drink post workout. Hoped for better experience.
