capsules are a nice magnesium option...

Codeage Liposomal Magnesium Glycinate Supplement...

I have used Magnesium supplements for years as they have been recommended to me for a variety of benefits. Normally I used Natural Calm drinkable at night to support a good night ZZZZ's.

So I was happy to try this Codeage Magnesium, particularly since it is capsule which is sometimes more convenient than drinkable.

++After using so far I like. Hard to gauge supplements but appears similar results to my Natural Calm - good night's sleep, etc.

Hard To Find Info: The expiration date on my jar is 05/28/2025.

I am not familiar with this brand but product seems to be made with good quality/design. Current price of ~$34 a bit on pricey side. Overall I rate 4-STARs in consideration of price/value/choices.

Formulated for Absorption

This is a nice formula, with a high quality form of magnesium that does NOT have a laxative effect for most people. The glycinate form of magnesium is absorbed well, and there is BioPerine added to optimize absorption even more.
For the price though, there are better magnesium glycinate buys out there (Superior Labs, Pure Micronutrients, etc). When price comparing, take note of the number of caps per dosage & total caps per bottle. These take 4 caps for one dose, but that is most likely affected by the additional ingredients in the formula. It's good to look at all the factors involved and weigh all options when choosing your magnesium!

Magnesium Glycinate is a must have for everyone

I have done my own research on all the different types of magnesium through the magnesium advocacy group on facebook. If you google search "magnesium advocacy group" and look at the google images.. it shows a info pic that shows all the different types of magnesium's you can take for specific healing and benefits in the body.

Magnesium Glycinate is great for stress relief and a number of other things so I really like to take it in the morning and at night.

Magnesium Malate is supposed to be energizing.

Magnesium Citrate is not good for us because it causes us to not absorb iron and a number of other things. So its better to choose a higher quality magnesium supplement instead.

Magnesium Threonate is great for anxiety, PTSD, and anything "brain" related. It goes straight to your brain! I love taking this one as well

Over all this Magnesium Glycinate supplement is very good! It looks to be in superior in quality in purity, and the encapsulation does not include stearate or stearic acids.

Huge jar! Great value!

Magnesium Glycinate is my favorite type of magnesium to take. It's absorbs well and is gentle on my tummy (no diarrhea). This supplement also has phospholipid complex, which are known to prevent the accumulation of fats in the liver and also transport and remove cholesterol from the cells.

This is a huge jar and with the quality ingredients, I think this is a good value.

Helps with sleep and migraine

I normally use Calm, but my watermelon flavor has been out of stock for a while, so I tried this while I'm waiting. The best part about this I don't have to stir powder into water and then drink a concoction that tastes okay but not great. These are easy to swallow capsules instead. I don't mind taking 4, as I already take tons of other supplements in capsule form. 4 more is not a big deal to me. Another plus is that makes these a lot easier to travel with than powders. In terms of effectiveness, this does the job. I tend to sleep well in general, but these make me sleep more soundly and help me relax. Especially after hard workouts. I think they're not quite as effective as the Calm powder, because when I use that I wake up feeling still felling relaxed. With these, I just feel normal when I wake up, all the relaxation power has already faded away by morning. Hopefully that makes sense.
I wanted to share another reason I take magnesium supps in case it helps any other women, and that's to avoid menstrual migraines. I get a 2-day migraine every 3-6 weeks when I don't regularly take magnesium. If you're suffering from something similar, it's worth a try. When I regularly take it (like, almost every day without fail), I'll either feel the headache coming on but it doesn't fully hit me, or I won't ever get it at all. You can google magnesium supplementation for menstrual migraines to learn more.

elemental? Contains bioperine (and liposomes) for healthy gut & better absorption

I use a wide assortment of magnesium chelates. This happens to be glycinate, and it is always ones I incorporate into my rotation. I have been taking magnesium supplements every single night for 10 years now, and it is the one thing that helps me fall asleep and stay asleep. Tends to not matter which one, so long as it is in capsule form. Just know that there are different levels of bioavailability for each one, and that not everyone responds the same way. I find benefit in ultra cheap magnesium oxide, which is considered super low in bioavailability, but yet it works for me. So I add that into the mix. Much research will say the same-- try different chelates for your needs. I find it best to use a variety, with glycinate as the foundation.

As for Code Age-- love and trust Code Age. I use a several supplements from this company without issue. Very pleased to add this into my bed side "magnesium shoe box".

Wish they included the elemental magnesium. I assume this is 350 mg FROM magnesium glycinate, not elemental. The amount of magnesium in glycate chelate is 14% (it can vary depending on the chelate) by mass. So in this case, it would have about 50 mg of elemental magnesium. If it was actually 350 g of magnesium then it would be from around 4900 mg of mag glycinate. It is elemental that the DV is based on. I dont see enough supplements giving clarification. But if it says "from" or "as" then it isnt being separately counted.

The addition of bioperine, anytime, is good for the gut. It helps any supplement absorb better. Further, adding in liposomal ingredients gives the magnesium a boost as well. If it didnt include these last two ingredients, I would give this 4 stars. But the addition of those makes this even better. I'd consider this again just for that. I do tend to try all sorts of magnesium brands through, so I may or may not purchase this again any time soon. I do believe in effectiveness of Code Age products though!
