Tastes okay, individual packets not very versatile, unnecessary ingredients
These work well enough for hydration, but really that’s not very difficult. All you need for that is water and salts.

Which leads us to the first problem with this hydration powder: I get my vitamins and supplements from other sources, and I just want my hydration to hydrate me. Keep it simple. Especially if I go on a very long run or day hike, I definitely don’t need 600% or even 800% daily value of anything (on top of what I already get through my diet or other supplements).

Another complaint people might have with this is the amount of added sugar: again, unnecessary. I did get a little kick of energy from drinking this, but 1) I prefer to control my sugar intake, and 2) even though I like sweet, that’s not what I’m looking for from hydration.

Plus, claiming that 3g of sugar per serving is “keto-friendly” is just absurd. I’m not on a keto diet, but I’m sure anyone who is would laugh at that. Again, what if you need to use 2, 3, or 4 of these packets for an endurance event? 12g of added sugar just to stay hydrated!

As for the taste, I tried all three flavors and didn’t care much for the lychee and watermelon (even though I love the real fruit). But I did enjoy the lemon flavor. It was a bit strong, even diluted in a 1½-liter hydration bladder, so it may taste quite overpowering to you if you use a smaller bottle.

And therein lies the next problem: this hydration powder comes in individual packets. Again, since I use a 1½-liter reservoir, I find them convenient. They’re just not very versatile, and will force you to dilute with more water than you may need if you don’t enjoy the sugary taste.

Not to mention, it’s also quite wasteful. You could fit a lot more powder without the individual packets, and you’d end up with far less trash, to boot.
