Updated review: They changed the formula using three different types of fish (cod, haddock & pollock) rather than wild caught snapper and it is not as effective. The texture is odd and takes a LOT of work to dissolve even in HOT LIQUID! It's clumps up and behaves elastic-y (like dough - cuz it is collagen after all). The smell is noticeable and overpowers the scent of your beverage (masks my earl grey tea which is normally so fragrant). It even has a strong flavor and texture even after it's blended - salty and chalky. I have been faithfully using this brand/type for years but will not be purchasing going forward.<br /><br />Original review: Only has Collagen 3 but better results than other brands with all 5 collagens! I've tried Vital Proteins and LevelUp, but this product performs better than either one of those, is less expensive and gets me the results i need even though it only contains collagen 3! I have taken this daily pretty much since May 2017 and notice a difference if i forget to take it for a couple days. It helps maintain my youthful appearance along with helping my hair (which is almost down to my waist) stay strong and shiny!!!

I've been ordering this product for several months now. Until now I have been very satisfied. The product changed. One scoop used to mix in with my morning coffee easily and there was no effects on the taste. Now the manufacturer has changed the composition. One, the scoop got bigger. Tells me they added more filler therefore I have to have more to get the same dose. Second, it no longer mixes easily with my coffee. Instead it clumps up, floats on top or sticks to the spoon. And it adds a pasty taste to my coffee. Been buying this brand for a while but not going to continue if they keep giving a cheap downgraded product

I am a 50+ year old woman.<br /><br />I have one scoop in my morning coffee and one scoop in the evening in tea, or broth. I had been experiencing joint pain in my hips and shoulders. After about 45 days of taking this collagen the pain has literally disappeared! My nails, which had become dry and brittle were now growing the way they used to, strong and long.<br /><br />My skin is more lively and less "tired" looking, more supple and less dry.<br /><br />The marine collagen mixes very well in hot beverages, and mixes fairly well in room temperature beverages. For cold beverages or foods, you may require more work in getting it to mix and/or may need to use a mixer of some sort. Treat it as you would cornstarch, make a "slurry" of the collagen and a little liquid, then stir it into the rest of the liquid.<br /><br />This is my 4th or 5th order of the collagen and it is well worth the money.

I am an executive at large company so haven't had time to make a morning shake with this yet, but I have been mixing 2 scoops with warm water (to help dissolve). Other reviews and product claim to be flavorless, but there's definitely a fishy taste. My cat even was interested! I drink this right before bed (preferably 2-3 hours after eating dinner) as I have read it's best for absorption if taken on empty stomach before bed so skin can actively repair. I have had people recently tell me that my skin is &#34;glowing&#34;. This is a huge improvement considering I suffer from cystic acne. I also suffer with knee pain from a hole in my knee cartilage. I have noticed a difference that my knee pain is almost gone after work outs compared to the throbbing that would occur prior to taking collagen. I highly recommend this product! Quality is good and it's working after 3 weeks.

Be weary. I’ve taken the bovine version of this brand for two years and have loved it. It’s taken care of my joint aches & an added plus was that it made my hair grow like crazy....my hair hasn’t looked this beautiful since I was a teenager! I switched to Marine as a friend told me her marine collagen (not this brand) made her skin luscious.<br /><br />I was only on this collagen for 3.5 wks when I read an article stating that bovine, hydrolyzed, Type I & III collagen is the most advantageous collagen to be on. The previous bovine I was taking checked all those boxes so I decided to go back...plus, this one didn’t change my skin or make any differences. Within 1-2 wks of getting off of this marine collagen, my hair began to come out in CHUNKS. Never in my life have I had my hair fall out like this. It was scary. It’s now been 3-4 wks back on bovine & my hair has slowly began to fall out less (or maybe I don’t have much more to fall out) but I think it was the marine that caused it. I have a close friend that started this marine at the same time as I did & she had same exact problem!<br /><br />Just be careful & pay attention to this.<br /><br />Texture - the bovine dissolves immediately as soon as I drop it into my coffee & the marine almost formed a film on top & I had to really stir to get it to dissolve. It was just thicker & it made me wonder what it did inside my body.<br /><br />Either way, choose whichever you please. The bovine has just shown me ample benefits over the last two years and I’ve gone back to it & am happy. Same brand, just bovine!<br /><br />Plus, you also get more for your dollar with bovine. Make sure to check the ounces!

I've been adding this to my coffee daily for the past 4 months; tastes great! Also, I had a split toe nail that was unsightly and had been gradually looking worse over the last 5 or 6 years. 4 months on this and it's almost gone (just has to finish growing out). If it's doing that kind of healing for my nails, imagine what other kind of healing is going on inside! Highly recommended.
