Good Quality, Big Tablets

I can't even remember when I started taking magnesium, but its been a while. It's an important element that does a body good especially as you get older, so I make sure to take it everyday. This is a good bundle, you get 3 bottles, 100 tablets in each, take it once a day, so you have a 10 month supply, great deal at this price point.

The tablets include 500mg of magnesium as magnesium oxide, are gluten, sodium, soy free, and don't include any added sugar or artificial preservatives. The tablets are a little on the large size, but I didn't have any trouble swallowing them and didn't experience any digestive issues, or any other side effects.

No more muscle/tendon cramps or restless legs!!!

I learned many, many, many years ago magnesium is very important. After being placed on blood pressure medicine for my kidney stone issue, I was having severe cramping, so bad it was like, do I put up with cramping on a daily basis, or go through a bought of kidney stones every 10+- years. So I stopped taking the medication, but the next time I had kidney stones, had to have lithotripsy! That was very painful, no thanks! Researched various options and magnesium came up. I started with 500 mg daily, but after giving it a couple of weeks, I was still cramping up in my various joints, feet, fingers, etc. So, I increased to two a day and amazingly, instantly started working and have not looked back. Magnesium is magnesium, but you have to pick one that your body will utilize without having to run to the bathroom. When I'm in need of something, I'll mix my regular magnesium/taurate with magnesium/oxide and it is like having a cleansing, and still no muscle/tendon cramping. Note, the doctor changed my blood pressure to an alternative but still needed magnesium in the same amount. My wife has restless leg syndrom, she tried this and the same thing, 500 mg didn't cut it, but as soon as she went to 1,000 mg, no more restless leg. And I get a better nights sleep, now! :)

Restful sleep and fewer leg cramps

I have always suffered from nighttime leg cramps. I have learned that, at least for me, certain supplements help. Magnesium is a big one. For me it reduces the frequency of leg cramps and when I do get them they are not as severe. i have also found that Magnesium helps me sleep better.

These are now part of my nighttime ritual.

Important Supplement

I'm a huge fan of Mason supplements and I use quite a few on a daily basis.

I ordered these magnesium vitamins to take this winter.

Magnesium is such an important vitamin for almost every part of our body.

During the summer months I get my magnesium right out of my garden in the form of fresh Swiss chard and leafy greens.

But, in the winter, when fresh veggies are hard to find, it's good to know I have these Mason magnesium capsules as a backup plan.

Magnesium keeps my nerves calm, my heart healthy and my blood sugar regulated among so many other benefits.

If you need an extra boost, give Mason supplements a try. Like I said, I've become a huge fan of Mason supplements and I trust the brand.

5+ stars for sure.

I hope this was helpful.

easy to swallow tablets, low bioavailability form works for helping me sleep

Easy to swallow tablets, 500 mg each, well sealed containers, helps me sleep. Made in USA. 5 stars

I'm so used to buying magnesium in capsule form that I failed to see that these are tablets. My stomach usually doesnt do well with tablets, so I hoped for the best. These are very easy to swallow, and I had no stomach issues. I take magnesium every single night to help me sleep. I take it in different forms, sometimes single, sometimes in a blend. It helps immensely. I aim for 1200-1500 mg in chelated form (ie bound to a salt. Magnesium is bound to oxide, hence "magnesium oxide". The amount listed is for the bound form, not elemental. SO that makes the daily value % off. Oxide is only 4% per 100 mg, making this 20 mg of magnesium per 500 mg tablet- I may be wrong, but it is always much less than what is listed unless they directly say "elemental").

Magnesium Oxide is considered to be the form with the least amount of bioavailability. Other forms are considered better. Here is the thing I learned: everyone reacts differently to the various forms. When it comes to helping me sleep, nearly any form works, including the cheapest form: magnesium oxide. So I never scoff at it as I find value in its effectiveness in helping me to fall asleep and stay asleep. However, I do use other forms as well just to make sure I am getting magnesium for other bodily functions/systems.

For testing and review purpose, I took 2 tablets (1000 mg) of just this magnesium oxide. I didnt take more than that because some forms are more apt to trigger movement in the intestines. I didnt want to deal with grumbles or toilet trips when I am trying to sleep. Other forms dont impact that area. I think I could have gone with 1500mg. I was concerned that it being in tablet form may not break down quick enough to work for making me sleepy. Well, it worked pretty quickly. The fact that it worked for me prompts me to give 5 stars. I dont down rate for all the fillers because they are clearly listed in the product pics. Kudos for being made in USA.
