Good product - don't understand why marketing men/women separately.

I ordered this magnesium glycinate and also the women's version from the same company. But, after receiving them both, I realized that they are the exact same product - the only difference is the dose. Women get 250 mg (60% DV) and men get 300 mg (71% DV) Why? Makes no sense. It would make more sense to sell two different doses and let the buyer decide which they want, rather than assuming that women want less and men want more.<br /><br />While all of that is a little weird - this seems to be a good product and I haven't noticed anything negative while taking it.

Easy to take, and it's potent, but may be a little expensive.

Reviewing: "Magnesium 300mg Per Capsules for Men, Magnesium Glycinate, 90 Capsules, 90 Day Supply, Magnesium Glycinate Capsule, Magnesium Glycinate Chelate, Magnesium Supplement for Muscle, Nerve, Bone Health"<br /><br />I take a magnesium supplement daily because every cell in your body needs it. It helps with the absorption of other essential minerals and vitamins. A doctor told me a long time ago that if I were to only take one supplement, it should be magnesium (but not to exceed the RDA).<br /><br />The noticeable benefits of magnesium for me are that it makes me feel tranquil, calm, soothed, and relaxed. You can take magnesium any time of the day (just be sure to check for interactions with medications and other vitamins/minerals). But I prefer to take it before bed for its sleep-inducing effects.<br /><br />This supplement contains 300 mg per capsule, which is about 75% of the US RDA (approx. 400 mg). And I think that's probably a pretty good amount to take in pill form, since most of us get magnesium from other dietary sources.<br /><br />One of the things to know in advance about magnesium supplements is what other minerals it is bound to, so that your body can absorb it. For instance, there is magnesium oxide, magnesium citrate, magnesium orotate, etc. and all are made by combining the magnesium with different minerals, to target specific bodily systems. This supplement is magnesium glycinate, which is often targeted toward the nervous system.<br /><br />Another thing to know is that different supplements can work differently in different people. As a general rule, magnesium glycinate is well-tolerated by most people and easy to digest without inconvenient side effects. Some magnesium supplements can cause diarrhea, but I have not noticed that with this. (For instance, magnesium citrate is often used as a laxative.)<br /><br />As I mentioned in the title, the price seems a bit high to me. I'm not sure why the cost is justified here. I think it's a good product, and by all means I would recommend that anyone interested in trying magnesium supplementation give it a try. But, I would also recommend trying out other brands and sources, even those that cost less. Cost isn't always an indicator of quality or results. My preferred long-standing magnesium supplement is excellent, and reliable, and I generally pay about 1/2 the price of this at my local natural foods store, or even here on Amazon.<br /><br />I'm glad I could try this product out and I'm rating it 4 stars.

3 months' worth of 300mg

Very good value considering the price and the potency (this gives you 70% of your daily magnesium), and I also appreciated that a dose is a single capsule. Note that although the product page headline mentions "chelate," the label does not mention the formula being chelated at all and in fact the product description lists it as an alternative to "buffered chelate." I'm fine as long as it's glycenate but it's good to know going in if chelate is your preferred form of magnesium.<br /><br />It might've just been my bottle but there'd be trace amounts of powder on my fingers after reaching inside, so there's the possibility these capsules are prone to leakage, but your mileage may vary.

"A really solid choice for magnesium glycinate"...

I have a variety of health issues such as migraines (rare), OA grade 3 of the knees, past gum/bone issues, occasional anxiety and elevated fasting blood sugar on rare occasions. I started looking into magnesium supplements when I started having gum issues and I suspected the Omeprazole I was taking for GERD was hurting my nutrient absorption.<br /><br />PILL SIZE and DOSAGE -- 1 pill = 300 mg which is good for me as a "one-and-done"; medium-sized pill goes down easily with water<br /><br />ABOUT MAGNESIUM -- Per my research, there are at least 11 types of magnesium with some being better than others for various issues or conditions. I always recommend you do your own research and work with your MD (providing them your supplement and meds list regularly) to play it safe. They can help you figure the best dosage for your needs.<br /><br />BENEFITS -- The "possible" benefits of magnesium glycinate per my online research at reputable health and medical sites was that it "may" help with things such as (a) chronic pain relief (b) promote bone health (c) anxiety relief (d) migraines (e) manage blood sugar or lower risk of developing diabetes<br /><br />PLUSES -- normal or standard fillers; I do not see anything concerning; for me I like seeing no preservatives, 3rd-party tested, made and quality tested in the USA and cGMP facility<br /><br />Companies that allow 3rd- party testing and "cGMP facility" are very important when choosing supplements.<br /><br />I made a variety of changes in my health and supplements so I cannot attribute my success to any one thing but I will say that my yearly physical last month led to a clean bill of health other than my chronic issues like GERD or OA of the knees which are not going away but I am currently managing very well. Also, I have had two dental appointments with my newer dentist and all the issues I was having prior appear to be gone or essentially gone for now. Again, I researched heavily on dentists and periodontists websites on how to improve gum health, fight gingivitis/periodontitis, and doing the things they recommended apparently helped immensely. And magnesium supplements was one piece of that puzzle.

Not seeing the effect yet

I can't sleep through the night. Thought this would help but not seeing a change after a week. However, it didn't get worse.
