Very good. Mixes well, smells fine.

I've been seeking a reliable source for collagen. I really do enjoy the healthy benefits that a good quality collagen can offer, like hydrated skin, less pain in all joins and muscles. I experience fewer neck aches and snaps and pops or grinding feelings in my body. It may be my imagination, but I notice improvement within a day or two with good collagen. I use this power in Bullet Coffee or smoothies. Just now I made a pumpkin, raspberry and beet smoothie and added collagen and a little himalayan salt and lemon to it. The pumpkin is from a can and is pretty sweet but I could add stevia if the lemon is too much. I use a ninja blender and it works great. I recommend collagen. I am in my mid 50s and have a life long issue with migraines, which I feel are in part from a lack of things like collagen, proteins, and hydration. I drink plenty of water, but that's just not enough. I wish we all had better information available about what we really need to be healthy, but in the interim, I try various supplements to augment a basically plant based diet. I give this collagen 5 stars for taste, smell, quick effectiveness and value.

Seems To Help With Nerve and Muscle Pain

I have not been using any collagen products for a while and have been going through some difficult periods of pain with stress making it worse. It is like fibro pain so if you have experienced that, you know it can be debilitating. I started using this collagen in my green smoothies. Let's talk about it.

WHAT IS THIS LIKE?
This powder comes in a plastic jar with a scoop. It is odorless and pretty straightforward to use.

HOW DID I USE IT?
I put a scoop of this into a huge green smoothie with fresh kale and fruits and water. The smoothie was then split between 3 days of use.

DOES IT BLEND IN WELL?
I have had no issues with blending. There are no lumps or problems with mixing at all.

IS IT FLAVORED?
This has no flavor to it that I can notice.

WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS?
It is interesting because I found myself without pain for the first time in a long time. I had stopped taking the collagen and smoothies for a few days and the pain came back. When I took it again, pain was much less. Nothing else changed. So, I have to say that this seems to contribute to a reduction in nerve and muscle pain.

THE BOTTOM LINE
This collagen powder seems to help a lot in reducing pain from fibromyalgia/nerve pain. On scoop in a green smoothie taken over a three day period really seems to make a difference for me. I like that it is not flavored.

MY RATING
FIVE STARS. I like having pasture raised/grass fed- collagen. It makes a difference for me.

Dissolves better than other brands

The main reason for my 5-star review is that this collagen dissolves very well even in cold water. I mix it with my morning vitamin C drink and the taste is barely noticeable. As far as effectiveness, I’ve been using collagen for quite a while and all I can say is I don’t see any significant difference compared with other brands.

Dissolves very well, decent price per ounce for what you get

About a month ago, I was offered a free 16oz jar of Omnite Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides (types I & III) for review via the Amazon Vine Program, and I accepted.

I've been using various brands of collagen peptides for almost three years - mostly type I & III. I can't be 100% clinically certain, but collagen peptides seem to have done a lot of good for the health of my gut - so I'm definitely a fan.

The Omnite Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides arrives in a resealable 16oz plastic jar. I prefer plastic jars over bags for collagen peptides as they offer the easiest, fuss-free usage as collagen peptides go airborne very easily. There is a fairly standard, if not slightly small, plastic serving scoop in the jar.

This is a type I & III collagen peptides powder. According to the label, this is made in the USA at an FDA registered facility that is cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) certified. The description also states that the product is derived from 100% grass-fed, pasture-raised bovine, made with non-GMO ingredients. That is all very good as some products are made from imported ingredients in who knows what facility where? This product is all on the up and up.

Probably unlike most people who add collagen peptides to liquid for consumption, such as coffee, I tend to add them directly to my meals whenever possible. However, for the purpose of this review, I tested this Omnite Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides in both hot and cold liquids. It dissolved as quickly as some of the fastest dissolving peptides I've used in the past, such as [[ASIN:B00XQ2XGAA Sports Research]] or [[ASIN:B07BL69CD2 Orgain]]. Like most collagen peptides, it dissolves notably faster in hot liquids than cold. In my experience, all unflavored collagen peptides add at least some very subtle flavor, usually similar to a very, very weak salt. Contrary to it's claims, this is no exception. Depending on what you put it in, you may or may not be able to detect it, if that matters to you.

In all honesty, I tend to purchase the cheapest collagen peptides I can per ounce and stock up when I see sales. There are huge price differences between various brands and aside from differences in they way they dissolve, I seriously doubt there is much actual difference in the efficacy at different price points when compared with other type I & III peptides. I am willing to pay a higher price for the more complete type I, II, III, V & X peptides. I try to get certified grass fed whenever possible and would never purchase *any* labelled to have *anything* to do with China. Ingredients from Brazil are okay, but the USA is preferred.

As of the time of this review, this Omnite Hydrolyzed Collagen Peptides is on the high side of reasonable per ounce at $1.75. I've seen some good type I & III collagen peptides that I've used for as low as $1.09/ounce. I've seen others at well over $2/ounce and higher. Based on the price alone, I'd give this four stars. I'll give it an extra star because it dissolves quickly and it's made in the USA from superior ingredients at an FDA registered facility. I'd be willing to pay a little more for that.
