I have been trying to heal a dental issue. In addition to other healing herbals, I have added this supplement with wonderful success. The ingredients are clean and offer balanced nutrition to assist my body in the healing process. l-Cystine acts as a precursor for the synthesis of glutathione, which is an important antioxidant. The reduced form of glutathione plays a fundamental role in the defense against damage caused by oxidative stress. It works as an antioxidant, and it helps boost lung and brain function, and promote liver detoxification. This is just what I need to continue the healing process in my body.

The pills aren't too big and don't make me feel nauseous like some other vitamins do. Everyone in my house has been sick, but I started taking these a few days ago once everyone started getting sick and I have yet to get sick. So, I think they are working!

Excellent combination of ingredients and a good explanation of each and its purpose. It is a large gel capsule but it is easy to swallow with no smell or taste. I was feeling a bit under the weather but after taking just one, I feel much better. The price is very reasonable for the number of pills provided. I am very pleased with this product.

As an allergy sufferer, if I can rely on nutrition and supplements to lower my response to allergy triggers, it means I can take less allergy medication. So when I am exposed to a trigger, I won’t swell up or wheeze as badly and can take less allergy medicine or antihistamines to stop the reaction.<br />Zinc Defense also contains quercetin and vitamin C, both of which can reduce our body’s antihistamine response when allergy triggers are present, due to their strong anti-inflammatory properties. Bromelain is another ingredient that reduces the amount of histamines our bodies produces around allergies and it also helps with digestion. Green tea is a well known antioxidant for fighting free radicals while also providing a low dose caffeine boost.<br />The most noteworthy ingredient in this supplement is L-cysteine, a very important amino acid that can amplify antioxidants, especially glutathione. While it does help detoxify the liver and kidneys, L -Cysteine also works as an expectorant because it loosens mucus in the airways. That’s why Zinc Defense is labeled as “respiratory system support”. It really does check all the boxes in this area. If you suffer from asthma & allergies like I do, a daily supplement like Zinc Defense could mean the difference between needing to take only ½ an allergy tablet or 2 whole tablets the next time an attack occurs.<br />To me, it’s worth it for the two month supply.

I really like these vitamins. The quality seems to be good, and there are a lot of good ingredients. Sometimes I have a hard time swallowing pills, but the are easy to swallow.

Let me start with the pros: I like the concept of having an immune-focused supplement that strips out most non-essential vitamins that are typically included in a multivitamin, which only put a strain on the kidney and liver without having any real efficacy data associated with them. The combination of zinc, vitamin C, vitamin D and others is great as it means you only have to take one pill to get an immune benefit. The pills are easy to swallow as well, which is nice.<br /><br />Here are the cons, which I believe outweigh the pros: the amount of zinc per pill is slightly on the high side, and especially when taking 2 per day - which is the recommendation on the bottle - it's a pretty high intake of zinc that puts strain on the body without any extra benefit. More is not better here -- read up on Zinc Toxicity if you are interested. I also find the addition of Bromelain extremely questionable, as this can have many side effects when taken with other medications. The pills also smell like ketchup, and the bottle is overpriced compared to buying the supplements separately.<br /><br />Overall I cannot recommend this product, would not buy it again, and have stopped taking it after a few days because I do not trust the ingredients.
