Item received doesn’t match with the description

I ordered this protein powder because I saw on the description and photos that it has marine collagen and greens mixed with 100% grass-fed whey isolate. Now, I just received the item and there is nowhere in the jar is written that it is marine collagen. It just says “Hydrolyzed Collagen”. So, it is most likely bovine collagen. I don’t eat bovine collagen due to my dietary restrictions. That’s why I ordered it thinking if it is marine collagen, it is fine for me. Now, I can’t even return this item, because there is no return or replace option in the order menu.

I'm picky with protein powder but this a yum

I've tried a fair amount of protein powders and I'm happy to say this one doesn't taste like chalk. Not that I've tasted chalk, but I can take a guess as to what it tastes like. I've tried the peanut butter, chocolate and strawberry. I have to say that I'm not a huge fan of the strawberry. The taste is too much and overpowering. The chocolate and peanut butter are really good. The chocolate actually tastes like a brownie. At least to me. The only issues (which are very small) are sometimes I have to dig for the scoop and I can't find it. I've learned to save an old scoop. Also, they can be very powdery. When I dump the scoop in, a whole lot of protein powder dust flies into the air.

Best protein powder I’ve tasted, worth the $$

Great flavor, I like it blended with black coffee. I have to blend it to get it smooth but it tastes great and there is no gritty texture like the plant based protein drinks.

Sweetener in the chocolate and vanilla flavors isn’t overly strong, my wife who doesn’t usually like stevia sweetened things likes this protein powder.

The unsweetened is great if you want to choose your own sweetener or add it to something already sweet.

These protein powders tast great and have bonus greens added.

Separates in a Shaker Bottle, Very Expensive

What did I use it for?

I have been consuming protein in two different ways as I try to bulk up. The first is protein powder and milk in a shaker bottle. The second is by blending it with oats, peanut butter, milk, banana, berries, and spinach. When I tried this protein powder in my shaker bottle, it was not the worst protein I have tasted. With that being said, in my opinion, it still doesn’t taste good. I got it down, but it was a struggle. One thing I really did not like was the shake separates if you don’t constantly shake the bottle up. I attached a picture so you can see what I am talking about. There is a foam layer, then a watery layer. When I mix this powder into my shake, all is well since the taste is mostly masked by the other ingredients.

Is the price justified?

In my opinion, the price is absolutely not justified. Keep in mind, this tub is not even 2 pounds, and it costs $45. Almost all whey protein from any brand falls around $50 for 5 pounds. This protein is $1.89 per ounce. A 5-pound tub of Syntha-6 for example is $0.56 per pound. This protein tastes worse, and cost over 3x as much. However, you can make your own judgment calls regarding price. Overall, the protein isn’t terrible, just way too pricey for me.

Strawberry is where it's at!

I tried the peanut butter before and it had an underlying vegetal flavor, but the strawberry is delicious! Highly recommend for the nutritional value as well as the taste.
