This is difficult. I mean, how on earth does one rate or review a vitamin supplement? Yeah, like others I could list the type and proportion of supplements, blah blah blah. But what good does that do? That only says whats in these little stink-bombs, not how well they work, right? I mean, what good is 250% DV of B12 if your body doesn't actually get any of it? It seems to me that a genuine and relevant review would consider how effective the supplement is in terms of vitamin uptake and physiological efficacy. I suppose I could go back and review all of my old undergrad physiology, endocrinology, and microbiology lectures but even with that I would need sophisticated bioassays and access to both control and test subjects (in sufficient number as to be statistically significant) to really reach a conclusion.<br /><br />So, once again the question of how to rate & review? Well, as this is Amazon I guess any review has to be on the most superficial of levels. Since others have already gone on and on about the contents of these pills, I figure I ought to take a different route, so here we go: these pills stink. I don't mean they aren't any good. I mean they actually stink as in they have an incredibly strong and malodorous stench. Kind of like rotting flesh mixed with rotting fruit and exceptionally pungent cheese, with just a hint of excrement to add an undercoating.<br /><br />After opening a bottle and removing the safety seal everyone in the house within 50 feet of me gagged. Not only that, but the smell lingers. Worst still, after ingesting the pill I can't help but believe that the potent odor is released through skin and breath.<br /><br />S.T.I.N.K. These stink. Bad. Putrid. Repulsive, nasty, stank, funky, PU ... however you choose to describe them. They might be better served as weapons, tossed at an enemy to dislodge them from a position, or perhaps as a way to encourage guests to leave if they've overstayed their welcome.<br /><br />On the plus side, I haven't noticed any strange side-effects, like suddenly sprouting a tail or getting double-vision, so they seem safe.<br /><br />But oh, that stink. Che puzza!

smells even in the closed bottle. The cupboard it is stored in reeks as soon as the door is opened. If I take it on an empty stomach causes heartburn. I would never buy this brand again.

I've included a picture of this pill alongside my family's current Vitamin-B Complex pills to compare the size. These are huge in comparison, making them a less-than-ideal option for someone who struggles to swallow big pills.<br /><br />When comparing ingredients between the two pills, they are equal when it comes to Vitamin B-12. This one is a little higher in the other Vitamin Bs, but since Vitamin B-12 is the one that our doctor was the most concerned about, I'm not sure that the bigger pill is a good tradeoff for my family's purposes. The one that we have been taking also includes Vitamin C, so that's an added benefit of the previous pill versus this one.<br /><br />Overall, if you don't have a problem swallowing huge pills and you are looking for a Vitamin B Complex high in Vitamin B-1, 2, 3, 6, and 12, this might be the right pill for you. If, though, you need a smaller pill, there are other great options available. I'm on the fence over whether these are a 3-star or a 4-star product, but for me, they are too big, so I rounded down.

I like getting all the B Vitamins in one dose. I like the combinations of B complex vitamins in this supplement. I need the B at this point in my life. The ingredients listed looks good to me.<br /><br />The only downsides are the very grainy, bad taste and the size. At almost an inch long, these pills are difficult to swallow. They're very grainy with no coating to make them go down easier. So, if you have trouble swallowing big or long pills take heed!

This is a high potency B complex, providing 100mg each of vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, and B8 (inositol).<br />The capsules are somewhat large, but because of the oblong shape they go down very easily. This is a decent price for a two month supply and even if you take a good multivitamin every day, adding a B-complex is a really good idea because your body doesn't store B vitamins, so you need to continually replenish them and there are a lot of factors that can cause them to be depleted quickly. Stress, drinking lots of alcohol or eating lots of sugar are three things that greatly increase your need for B vitamins.  They work more quickly in relieving symptoms than a lot of supplements do - if you tend to go out on weekends and have several alcoholic drinks and often have a headache and other unpleasant symptoms the following day, take this B supplement with some healthy food like pasta BEFORE you drink alcohol and it will prevent that. A high quality B-complex supplement in a good potency (50mg or higher) will prevent you feeling ill and fatigued from drinking and it can prevent headaches from drinking, stress or a sugary diet.  Before I began taking a good B-complex, I used to get terrible migraine headaches until I started working at a health food store and began taking vitamins. (B50 Complex, among others) I'd get daily headaches that interfered with everything- that was about 35 years ago and I've never had that problem since - I only rarely get a mild headache. Just don't take them on an empty stomach - for some reason B vitamins will cause nausea on an empty stomach and the higher the potency, the worse the nausea will be. This 100mg B supplement should be adequate for anyone, no matter their stress level or quality of diet.
