The ULTIMATE soreness eliminator! WOW! I read the book and I'm sold. DITCH your BCAAs!!
First of all, my stats: I'm a 40 year old mom, 5'7", 145. I lift weights 3 x week and hike 5 miles 2 x per week in addition to walking my dog and just doing life. Nothing crazy, I'm no body builder or ultra runner. That being said, I take good care of my body, eat clean and healthy, take supplements etc. I warm up well and do a lot of stretching and foam rolling, but I still do get stiff and sore sometimes, especially when I up my weights in the gym or mix up my routine in any way. I've been lifting for about 2.5 years now so I'm no novice and no stranger to the dreaded DOMS.

I stumbled upon Dr. Minkoff's book and I'm an avid reader, so I finished it in a day and it was really mind opening! I immediately bought these supplements to try and I couldn't believe how well they worked almost IMMEDIATELY upon starting!

I admit I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of pills this meant taking (in addition to what I already take) but the coated tablets are easy to swallow, and for me, it beats drinking ANY aminos as they all taste absolutely DREADFUL (Body Health powder included). Here are a few things I've learned in the 4 months I've been taking them.

1) Taken first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, they really do help stave off hunger for a while to extend a fast (without breaking it) if intermittent fasting is something you're into or want to try.

2) Taking them immediately before and/or after a workout is going to give you the most benefit.

3) For the first two months I took 3 doses (15 pills total) per day based on their recommendations, but I decided to taper it down and see if I still noticed a benefit. I now only take them on my lifting days and I only take one dose immediately after my workout. If I'm feeling it, I might take a dose immediately after my workout and another dose right before bed, but generally speaking, I only take one dose per day on my lifting days and I honestly feel like I'm still getting the benefit of the muscle recovery. I also eat a high protein diet (lots of cage free eggs, grass fed meats etc.) so that probably helps, too. If I didn't eat high protein I would probably feel more inclined to take more of these than I now do.

Since I have started taking these I have been almost ENTIRELY FREE of all muscle soreness. That is absolutely amazing and tells me everything I need to know about how well these work! I have gotten at least 5 different friends and family members taking them now and they are enjoying the benefits, too! I have also built muscle and been able to increase my weights with relative ease.

My only complaints are that they are expensive, you have to take sooooo many pills (and they're big horse pills at that) and for me, taking the full dosage and sometimes right before bed, I noticed that I got more night sweats for some reason. I track what I eat and do very tightly and the night sweats for me seem definitely linked to taking lots of these pills and right before bed for some reason. Not sure why that is, but it could be just my body.

I feel like once you get your body where it needs to be (ie. you fix your amino acid deficiency), perhaps you can get into a groove like me where you don't require the full recommended dose to enjoy the benefit and that makes them MUCH more friendly on the wallet and the esophagus. I will continue to buy and take them in this way going forward. They are cheaper if you sign up for the subscription on the companies website, though. I also take their digestive enzymes which I like a lot. I have tried their meal bars and shakes and powders and I honestly didn't care for any of them, just FYI. The Perfect Amino pills are where it's at!

Oh, and they have great customer service and the PA facebook group is super helpful as well!

I sincerely hope this review has been helpful for someone else! And yes, I pay full price for these! Feel free to ask any questions.

Expensive
The container specifies 5 pills per day, and it comes with 150 pills so it will last for the entire month, but when you start seeing all the manufacturer videos, they suggest taking double or triple the doses so it will be 10 to 15 pills per day, and that is really the correct doses that you will start seeing the advantage of taking this product. (The product is excellent)
But it is expensive to take 2 or 3 containers per month adds to $80 to $120 per month which is expensive when you have to take this on a regular basis maybe for years if not your entire life

NOOO difference
I bought this product on the hopes that I would see larger biceps triceps and shoulders. I do everything that I’ve read online to support muscle growth, form
, frequency, and nutrition. This product hasn’t made a dent in my muscle size😔.
It’s been 2 weeks, I’ll see if there’s a difference within one month of use but I remain pessimistic. Their pitch is that this product has the right balance of Amino acids to avoid wasting any, achieving nearly 100% utilization. According to their YouTube pitch, more healthy protein is only utilized at 41 % capacity due to wasted amino acids…….I remain skeptical. Fool
Me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I’ll keep hitting the gym 5 days a week focusing on 3-5 sets until failure but I’m not convinced this is what it is cracked up to be.

Finally energy and definition never before seen
I take 2 caps before a workout and 2 afterwards and have no issues. I finally have the energy I need to get a full 40-60 minute workout in without the fatigue during or after. I also don’t experience the muscle aches after a heavy lifting session or a long cardio ride on my stationary bike. I’m 43, and have definition appearing in my body I have NEVER seen before. I also eat a balanced diet and drink plenty of fluids, but allow a cheat day every so often. I’m allergic to milk so I stay away from protein shakes. These pills have given me something to look forward to on my 5 days a week workout schedule.

Simply Awesome!!!
I’m a longtime user of supplements and especially whey protein powders. The monthly use had started to get so expensive that I decided to go a different route. I saw this product online and had great reviews so I gave it a try. Now I have been using for 3 months and it’s awesome and got me out of my “slim fat” blues. Problem areas from eating to achieve daily protein goals and protein powders caused fat accumulation in problem areas like love handles. This product solved that issue with less calories and the price is a lot less than the top tier protein powders claiming 30+ grams per serving.

My body loves these
Okay, so amino acids don't taste good ; we all know that. (Therefore I can assure any doubters that these vegan tabs are, indeed, amino acids.) Are they easy to swallow? Maybe for some, but I'd advise seniors like me to avoid taking them with water--the bulky tabs might just stick where you don't want them to. And the recommended daily dose? Not one, not two, but FIVE of these beauties at a shot. (Not so surprising, I guess, considering they're whole food.) Pricey? Just pretend you're buying 2-3 weeks' worth of hi-protein powder. (Additional doses needed for workout recovery.)
BUT MY BODY LOVES THESE SO MUCH, I DON'T CARE HOW I HAVE TO GET THEM DOWN--THEY'RE GOING! (Oh, it makes me sad to take off that fifth star.)
But take heart--they'll slide right down with a few bites of banana, gulps of a smoothie, or swallows of almond milk. After 6 months I have better energy/stamina, my brittle nails are hardening, my hair is growing in thicker, sleeker, and even a bit darker. Recovery from exercise feels faster/easier. And...these aminos won't break a fast. I also read that the 9 are blended in the perfect ratio for 99% utilization. No protein powder I know of can beat that!
