Misleading Description

I have been ordering these bars for years. I just received my usual order of five boxes of bars. They have changed. Different packaging and a much stronger peanut butter taste. The big difference is in the description of the bars. In the past, the box described the bars as “made with no dairy, soy, palm oil, or gluten ingredients”. These words are no longer in the description on the box I sent an email to the company asking if they changed the bars. The response was a form letter telling me they had not changed the protein drink at all. I was not asking about the protein drink. The only description on the new box is, “contains peanuts cashews and is produced on equipment that also processes other tree nuts, milk, soy, eggs, wheat”. In addition the bars now contain sugar instead of cane sugar, along with “isomaltooligosaccharides”. I was expecting to receive what was shown in the picture on Amazon, not a completely different packaging and description. Disappointed.

The bars I received expired last year!

I opened one of the bars today and noticed the expiration date was 1 year ago. Shame on you for selling expired food!

Disgustingly sweet chemical flavor

Do you really want to eat something where the first ingredient is "isomalto-oligosaccharides", sugar is the second ingredient, and it contains "partially hydrolyzed pea protein"? If the sugar weren't bad enough, it also contains tapioca syrup and dates (healthy by itself) - 14 grams of sugar in each bar? That's more than the 10g of protein!

With that much sugar, why does it need "natural flavors"? Shouldn't dried cherries and almonds be enough? If the sequence of listed ingredients truly implies relative amount, this bar contains more water than cherries! It may be plant-based, but they've processed it so much, you might as well eat candy and actually enjoy the taste.

Almond Cherry bars are way too sweet. I regret buying them.

I honestly think these are pretty gross - far too sweet - and I'm struggling to get through the box. I'll probably end up tossing them out. The peanut butter flavor may well be better, but I haven't tried them and don't plan to.

Nasty

Flavor is bad. The bars came in a plastic bag outside of the original box. They were melted and tasted nasty
