Good Effort

Since 1985, I’ve mostly had chocolate and vanilla protein powders, many of which have been excellent. I’m liking the ready to drink clear protein drinks Isopure made popular, and the clear whey powders with fruity flavors like this one.

Excellent ingredient selection. No sugar or aspartame or similar artificial sweeteners to be found.

Tremendous amount of protein per serving: 25 grams.

This one is the Lemon Tea, and I also got their Watermelon Coconut.
The lemon is good, not great. Really solid effort, though. Tastes a lot like Quest’s lemon protein bars. There’s often a touch of bitter with lemon flavorings, and it’s hard to hide that.

I’ll definitely use this, and I’ll review the watermelon coconut when I try it. I’m grateful for companies like this, and I think they’ve got something worth trying. Solid effort.

Very Different than Regular Whey Protein Powders

Okay, this whey protein powder is very different from regular protein powders. As a gym rat, I have tried literally hundreds of different protein supplements, and Whey Goods Clear Whey Protein Isolate (Iced Tea Lemonade) is the most unique one for sure.

If you use whey protein powder you know whey protein powders taste a little bit heavy and have that chunky taste or after taste does not matter which flavor you choose. For me, it is all right but for some people (like my wife) that taste is making protein powders undrinkable or only drinkable inside of a smoothie so the taste will be covered up with other flavors. Literally, after many years of using protein powders, I also do not like to drink water, and whey protein mix tastes as well.

Whey Goods Clear Whey Protein Isolate doesn't taste or feel heavy at all. Actually, it is taste and textured like lemonade or juice. We got the Iced Tea Lemonade flavor and it tastes delicious and does not have any regular whey protein powder texture in the taste.

The supplement has 25 gr protein in each serving which is awesome and the fat percentage is also zero. So this is a true gem on that side.

My only problem is the price per serving and that is why I gave 4 stars rather than 5. Right now price per serving is $2.33 which is really expensive if you compare other high-end iso whey proteins. My main whey protein powder price per serving is $1.09 so Whey Goods Clear Whey Protein Isolate is more than double the price per serving.

Also, I recommend you use a blender bottle when you make it. My wife tried with a glass and it did not mix well. Long story short high-end product tastes amazing but it is on the expensive side. Still recommended and I will probably try the Lemon Lime Acai and Watermelon Coconut flavors as well.

Gamechanger

So happy I discovered this. I find it impossible to hit the recommended 1 gram protein per lb body weight with foods alone. For me that’s around 200 grams protein a day. Ugh. That’s way too many chicken breasts. So I need to supplement. But if I had to slurp down one more creamy chunky protein shake or smoothie I was going to gag.

This product is a game changer. It mixes clear. The Lemon Lime Açaí flavor tastes great. No sucralose trash or sugar alcohol junk. I dilute with 12 oz water so it’s not too sweet or sour. I use a shaker bottle to mix it well. Stirring alone won’t mix it. It’s refreshing and I can drink it anytime including during workouts like a hydration drink. So happy about this. Will buy this regularly.

Doesn't Trigger GI Issues and Tastes Good!!!

I have Gastroparesis, IBS-C, and an overall motility disorder. This protein powder does not trigger any symptoms AND it's actually good!

It starts off kind of milky-looking after you first blend it (I use a milk frother), but after a couple of minutes it clears up.

I don't mind the taste at all but ...

If you can't handle sour things, you likely won't be able to enjoy drinking this with just water. I don't mind the lemon flavor at all (think 20% iced tea, 80% lemon flavor), but I also used to down lemon warheads as a kid without making a face. So take my opinion with a grain of salt.

If you like making Arnold Palmers using powdered iced tea and powdered lemonade (this hydrolyzed whey protein would give you 2x the lemon flavor with zero sugar + all the protein).

After mixing/shaking, I'd wait around 3-5 minutes or longer for everything to absorb, but technically you can still just drink it right away (there's just some foam in the way; kind of like having a beer that was poured poorly). You don't need to shake it afterwards before drinking (you'll just cause it to foam up again, not to the same degree as the first time though).

Best clear protien I have tried

Great taste, mixes well. I don't like milky shakes but enjoy clear drinks, I have tried a few that just didn't mix well. This one mixes quickly and has a subtle fruity flavor that will mix well with other supplements such as bcaa's.
