I have been controlling my weight for the last 6 months (lost 22 lbs) falling off of the horse eating cake and stuff but when I discovered these 2 weeks ago, my "sugar jones" was redirected from high glycemic snacks to these. If you have to sin, these have 13g of protein, 5g of sugar so they won't put you in a diabetic coma. I recommend Peanut butter cream.

This is the latest flavor of the Power Crunch Bars. I was very delighted with this flavor. I have tried all 14 flavors and have not been disappointed by any. I used to weigh 360 lbs. & currently weigh 187 lbs. I have reduced my carb intake significantly. I enjoy the Power Crunch Bars along with coffee for breakfast. They provide enough sweetness to satisfy my sweet tooth without sabotaging my diet. These strawberry cream are a delicious addition to all the other flavors.

At first I read the ingredients listed on Amazon and ruled out this product because I don't allow Hydrogenated oils in my diet for obvious health reasons. Then I spotted a Power Crunch bar at Whole Foods and read the ingredients - no Hydrogenated oils included. Confused, I then called BNSG (manufacturer of Power Crunch) and asked that they confirm whether this ingredient is included (past & present) in any of the Power Crunch bars. (3/2012) I was told by BNSG that Hydrogenated oils have never been a part of this protein bar's formula. I informed them of the error on Amazon's site (for all flavors) and they didn't seem too concerned by this, but said it would be investigated. I can only guess that BNSG is currently meeting its sales goals and therefore can be complacent to have such erroneous info attributed to their product. I hope that this review can help others be more willing to give these bars a try, since they are really a nice product. I have ordered many cases from Amazon and NONE have included the stated Hydrogenated oils.<br /> Having hopefully clarified any ingredient issues, let's get on to the other features of this unique protein bar. If you like wafer style cookies, then this item may be an interesting choice for those looking for a new protein bar. Since the wafers are made of whey protein, the flavorings are in the coating and in between the wafer layers. Such construction allows for this protein bar's consistency to be light and non doughy, as almost all other protein bars on the market aren't. I especially like them because this feature means that they won't weigh me down and will digests quickly. The flavors are also very good while Vanilla and Triple Chocolate are truly DIVINE. They are also sweetened with Stevia, so of course there is no bitterness or aftertaste.<br /> The only negative features are that they crumble easily so it's important to eat/transport them carefully, they melt easily so refrigeration afterwards won't restore them to their original form, and the Wild Berry Creme flavor does contain one food dye colorant (Red 40). Cases of each flavor are also priced differently - some being almost $3 more.<br /> If you like wafer style foods, want a light, fast absorbing protein bar that tastes fantastic, give the Power Crunch bars a try.<br /><br />*Please note: I am not affiliated with BNSG and/or any other nutritional organization. The "nutrition facts" on the sales page claim there is NO cholesterol in this product. However, the label on the box I received says that each bar contains 10mg. I've attached images of both claims for your comparison.

I had tried these over the summer on the recommendation of my sister and her husband. It was a great find to have a protein bar that wasn't loaded with sugar and still had a good dose of protein per serving, and also not having to chew the regular protein bar consistency like a cow working on it's cud.<br /><br />The whey protein wafer is a welcome change, but it's not for everyone, and I'm afraid I'm one of them. Flavor is good, but the texture is weird. Halfway through the bar, it starts feeling chalky. But the bigger issue for me is that I don't think my body reacts well to the whey, I felt slightly nauseous after eating them. I looked it up and it seems as though that can be an issue with whey powder that gets used to make protein shakes for some people, and I think that must apply to this version of the supplement too.<br /><br />I still have almost two boxes sitting on top my fridge, so I'll probably power through eventually, but I won't be buying them again.

I first saw these at Trader Joe's and a lady next to me put a pile of them in her basket so I asked her about them and she said they're basically a healthy Kit-Kat bar. Well, that's all I had to hear - I HAD to try it asap. I bought a couple and tried my first one as soon as I got to my car. I devoured it before I left the parking lot! I got home and immediately ordered them on Amazon and I've had at least one box of them in the house at all times since then. The only issue is I find them completely addicting! They are absolutely delicious. My husband and kids are not quite as enthralled as I am but to be fair I really don't eat any junk food (they do much more than I) so this kind of thing totally hits the spot. LOVE!
