This is an awesome product. The taste is wonderful - tastes like the actual fruit that we used to eat in India. Amla is usually tart and has a sweet aftertaste. This powder tastes exactly like that. Very Pure.

I just took 3/4 of a teaspoon of this amla powder in water a few minutes ago for the first time. So, I can't yet comment on the effects or benefits.<br /><br />The reason that I'm posting this review now is that in many reviews of various brands of amla powder, people complained about the taste. Some said it's bitter and tastes awful. These people may not be used to taking supplements. If you are, it probably won't be objectionable to you. As my headline states, it has an earthy, slightly lemony taste. I will usually add it to my green drink (amazing grass powder, ground flax seeds, water). I took it in plain water this time in order to get the full taste and review it based on that.

I used to eat the dehydrated berries in my oatmeal, but since I no longer eat breakfast, I've switched to powder form. I just put 1/2 tsp in about an inch of water, drink it like a shot (every day), and chase it with water. It's both gritty and sour-tasting. I am taking it to reduce cholesterol.

Great value for this product works wonders as a hair mask.
