I've been a huge fan of Nuun for years. However, I can't sit idly as they try to roll out new packaging to include fewer servings at the same price. Even if they have to increase their prices to keep up with inflation they are still creating more waste per tablet via this new design. I'll keep buying it, but I'll always be bitter about how they took a great product and watered it down, pun intended.<br /><br />Edit: This is definitely their new formula, which was previously marketed as &#34;Nuun Active&#34;. Not sure why they changed the name again. The big changes<br />1) Fewer tablets per package. A 17% reduction<br />2) tablets take considerably longer to dissolve. Original formula dissolved in 2 minutes. I've found it to be closer to 5 minutes now.<br />3) new formula has a weird chemical after taste. Not ideal.

This has 4 grams of "dextrose" with is a manipulative name for sugar. I drink my electrolytes first thing in the morning as a part of an intermittent fasting regimen. Not only does this product break your fast because of the sugar, this caused my appetite to skyrocket. Intermittent fasting was impossible after drinking this. I went from OMAD (one meal a day) way back up to three meals a day because this made me so hungry. After a couple of days I quit drinking this an my appetite is slowly decreasing. I'm back to two meals a day and I have to work my way back down to OMAD.<br /><br />This product also tastes horrible. It isn't sweet at all so the sugar is a waste of everybody's macros. the "grape" or "pink lemonade" favor is barely noticeable even though I put it in only 10 ounces of water instead of the recommended 16. I can't imagine the tragedy that would ensue in a 16 ounce bottle. The chalkiness and alka seltzer taste comes through strong though.<br /><br />I haven't regretted a purchase this much in a very long time. I wish I could return it but it would cost more to return than I paid.

I have Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and bought these because of the reviews from other sites. It's imperative for us Potsies to get enough sodium into our bodies. I drank one as soon as we got the box and I can say yes the taste is weird and took me by surprise but at the same time when your desperate you'll make anything go down. I have felt slightly more alert the rest of the day and am excited to see how this effects my symptoms long term

I am a long distance runner with a very sensitive stomach. I'd always find myself sipping Gatorade during/after long runs, then would always find myself feeling sick after each run. I was in the market for something light to replenish my electrolytes without the heaviness of Gatorade. Which led me to trying Nuun.<br /><br />First reaction: well, it's not the best taste ever. It does have a little amount of fizz to it, which I did like. As I continued drinking it, and trying other flavors, I really got a taste of it. My sensitive stomach handles this drink with no problem at all, I actually feel less fatigued after drinking 16 ounces of this after my runs. I get a boost of energy back, which is perfect after early morning runs. I drink it 2 hours before a run, sip it during a long run (knock on wood, I have yet to get any cramps mid-run while drinking this!), and then sip it after a run.<br /><br />It's very cost effective as well for an electrolyte drink. I like the fact that it's easy to carry around in my bag throughout the day and I can just throw a tab in my water bottle whenever I need it, it is very convenient.<br /><br />Definitely recommend for anyone that is looking for a way to hydrate through their workouts. It has helped me immensely and I'm looking forward to using it throughout my marathon training!

I use these all the time and they are fantastic, however they maybe changed the formula? They used to be thinner tablets, now they're extremely thick and they take a while to fully dissolve. It's not worth removing a star but it's definitely worth noting - I wonder why the change?<br /><br />I use these instead of sugary sports drinks when I work out or am at the office. But to be reaaaalllllyyyyy honest, I mostly use these as a hangover preventative. This is all relative and your mileage may vary FYI. When doing moderate drinking, before you go to bed, put one tablet in a large cup of water and drink once it's done dissolving. When doing heavy drinking for a sporting event, or a wedding, or whatever other excuse you have for drinking too much, then I'll usually take 1 a few hours into drinking and then 1 more before bed. Usually, doing this and drinking some water in between every few drinks should be enough to prevent hangovers. I've had some mornings where I woke up and couldn't believe I felt as good as I did. Regardless, you probably shouldn't use these so you can drink every night and wake up okay, that's unhealthy - but using them to save yourself from yourself once or twice a month...that's probably still unhealthy but hey, I'm no saint.<br /><br />The flavor is fine, it tastes like a normal sports drink to me. Maybe not the same as a sugary gatorade or sugar-substitute-filled powerade zero or something but I'm okay with that. Dissolve in warm or lukewarm water, as it won't go as well if your drink starts cold.

I have literally never written an amazon review before but this new formula is so bad I felt I had to lodge a complaint! I used to drink a nuun tablet every morning due to a medical condition. The old formula tasted great and I liked that it was pretty much sugar free and I loved how they were easily portable. I loved them so much I used to recommend them to everyone!<br />So I get the new formula and I’m like how much can they change? These are great they wouldn’t ruin a product! Oh my goodness how wrong I was! These taste horrible now! They are so sour (like so sour my teeth feel like some enamel comes off each time I drink it) and sooooo watery! They taste like if you melted an old jolly rancher in water and then tried to drink it! There is no distinction in flavor between the flavors, now they all just taste terrible, sour, and watery! I used to love the fruit punch and tropical but now there is no difference between them! I even had my coworkers try it cause I thought I might just be crazy and they were all like this is legit terrible! And the worst part is they upset my stomach now! I have kind of a sensitive stomach and I used to have no problem with the old formula. Now the new formula makes me nauseous when I drink it! I actually can’t get through a whole glass of it in one sitting.<br />Anyway needless to say I won’t be buying these again! I’m canceling my subscribe and save now!
