This is a great post workout mix but be warned.... the name, After Shock, is very fitting. That was a fart joke. You're spouse or person you live with may not think it's that funny though : )
I love this post workout more than any other for a few reasons. 1) The protein/carb 1:1 ratio blend is so awesome! I need my post workout to have a great protein/carb blend to it and this one does. 2) Joint support formula. This post workout has an amazing joint support formula built into the product! This helps my joints, it helps me recover from my workouts quicker, and it helps me be less sore the day after my workout. 3) Taste! Taste is actually least important to me, because if my body responds well, I don’t care what it tastes like. But, this product tastes SO GOOD!! Wow! Best post workout!
The price was high, the flavor was good. I used it right after working out as intended.
Though I didn’t buy here I did when P90x’g for a couple months. I will say there was a huge difference in recovery time when I drank this. Once in a while I would pre creatine and honestly shredded pounds and added mass. Unlike another review which says there was no pre workout energy, if you read like an adult should, it’s a Post Workout drink, if you need that extra push to finish, find another supplement for the “pre”, but do yourself a favor and make this your post drink. I used the fruit punch, haven’t tried the other flavors, imagine the berry is probably chalky like most, and orange would be “tang”-like but just power though the drink in 2 minutes, 5 minutes after you’ve stopped and start breathing normal and honestly it doesn’t matter what it tastes like, the fact it works is all that matters to me. I’m purchasing another 2lbs now to get back into my routine.
This was just an ok buy, and I ended up throwing it out half-way through. Frankly, the flavor was pretty yucky. Also, it's a protein heavy product and it doesn't really give much of a pre-workout buzz. I think they've got some good ingredients, but on the whole I prefer other products in the exercise and recovery genre. Wouldn't buy it again. Also, the container is HUGE and takes up half a cabinet on its own.
