I have purchased different collagens over the years and will try different brands when they are advertised as a special deal. I received my 14 day canister and my freebie. I have finished one and can honestly say it is a high quality collagen. The first plus was the texture, very fine powder noticeable upon opening the canister. I added one scoop to my coffee and it blended effortlessly, no clumps or floaters on top..second, there is no taste or after taste when added. I can't speak of pain relief since I've only used for 14 days and having osteoarthritis in my knees. It would take longer for me to notice results. That brings me to one "con" for the product..the servings, it is not economical. Even with 2 canisters, you are short 30 days. The 20 grams makes it very high quality but overpriced for the contents of 14 servings. I would purchase again if a 30+ day unflavored becomes available at a price I can fit into my monthly budget.

I started taking collagen with hopes that it would help with wrinkles and lack of facial fullness but did not expect to get other benefits from this product as well.<br /><br />My nails typically are soft and break easily as soon as I get any length…now they are much stronger and growing faster after using just one canister of collagen and only one scoop a day.<br /><br />My skin seems smoother as well.<br /><br />As far as pain relief goes…I can’t say I have any chronic pain so it’s not relevant.<br /><br />At first I tried it in plain water….while it did dissolve completely I could still sense a very, very slight taste of some sort. Not for me.<br /><br />I now put a scoop in my coffee every morning…can’t tell it’s in there.

The biggest change that I have noticed is with my eyes. My eyes have been so dry the past couple of years that I literally wake up with dry eyeballs and need to reach for my eyedrops with my eyes closed. I never go anywhere without my eyedrops. It dawned on me last week that I haven’t had to use my eyedrops for weeks now. I did some research and found out that collagen can help that as well. And it sure did. 100% difference in my eyes. My joints are better as well. No more aching knees. I have also noticed a change in my skin. It is much more moist and supple. I can’t really comment on wrinkles because being a woman we are the most critical about our looks. It was a learning curve on how to get it to dissolve the best. So I measure out my scoops of collagen peptide powder into my glass. I heat up one cup of water in the microwave and then pour it in with the powder and mix until it’s all dissolved. I promptly throw a couple of handfuls of ice in to cool it back down and fill with water. Perfectly dissolved and ready to ingest.<br />I wanted to note that I have been taking collagen capsules for a year. I never noticed a difference with anything. I started taking Ancient Nutrition Collagen Peptides in September and the changes are a miracle. I won hundred percent support and recommend.

I like this product, but I was only able to get 10 servings out of my container. The container states 14 servings, which would still only be 2 weeks worth. Going back to another brand for a better value. Otherwise, it mixes well in coffee and no unpleasant taste.

UPDATE 2022. I changed my five star review to a three because of this last purchase. I purchased this three different times. The first two were fabulous as you can see by review below and most definitely helped my joints and arthritis. The third one was rancid and smelled. It wasn't so bad at first and when mixed into a particular spicy drink, it wasn't too noticeable - for awhile; however, it evidently aged as the days went by and it came to the point I couldn't drink it (even the smell got me). The expiration date is two years out, so that's not the problem. Perhaps just a bad batch. It did not help my joints and arthritis when I did drink it as the prior purchases. The lot number on this one is 2527721231Z<br /><br />Again - perhaps a really bad batch, but there should be some quality control going on. I won't be purchasing again, and that is disappointing as it truly did help.<br />***<br />Although I usually avoid TV advertised things, I decided to give the unflavored Collagen Peptides by Ancient Nutrition a try. It was cheaper and healthier than having prescription meds (to which the drs were pushing on me). I knew it wouldn't hurt me. It says that you can feel results in as little as one day. Well - I didn't have any results that I could see or feel in one day, however, I persevered. At the end of seven to ten days, I realized that my pinky finger no longer hurt at all and it was moving well (it had started having some arthritis in it). I looked at my arthritic thumb because I realized the pain was almost gone. Not only had the pain eased from about an 8 to a 2, the swelling had decreased by over half on the thumb and completely on the pinky finger. AND - my hair and nails started growing and thickened. Thrilled!! I use the usual 2 scoops in my hot drink in the morning.<br /><br />What do I like about this? It has multiple types of peptides. It IS unflavored - I mean I do not taste anything when it is dissolved completely. It does not have much of an odor. It truly has helped my arthritic thumb and finger. It nourished my hair and nails so that they started growing; my hair thickened and does not fall out as much. It has even helped my knees a little.<br /><br />I don't like that there's a LOT of settling in the container - but that's in everything these days and it's sold by weight. The price is a little high compared to others; however, after trying one of the cheaper brands (which smelled, tasted bad, and my pain/swelling started up again), I went back to this one. I think it's worth it.

I just added a scoopful to my cup of coffee every morning, so it was easy to get used to taking daily. One time, I forgot to put it in my coffee, so I warmed up a little juice, added a scoop, blended it well, and added ice and cold juice. That worked well, too! I'm on my 3rd container. I'm not sure yet about how much joint pain relief there is yet, but I have noticed that with the weather changes that my joints aren't screaming at me like they have been in the past, especially my bad knee.
