Really wanted to rate this higher….

There’s so much I LOVE about this product!
It’s doctor formulated and approved by Dr Kenosha Gleaton, OBGYN. The packaging is plastic neutral(love companies that do this) and child proof, with an attractive design that would make me want to grab it off the shelf of any store. It even took me a minute to realize how you open it(squeeze the tabs on both sides and push up).
I love that all the ingredients are printed on the side as well as the expiration date(2 years from now). They contain no milk, eggs, fish, gluten, wheat, nuts, etc.
I also love the daily packet system. If you’re someone like me who’s forgetful and sometimes mixes her pills up, they’re great! Not to mention they smell good! Kinda like vanilla?!

Why, you ask, did I rate this only 3 stars? Honestly, the price point and the daily amount of pills just doesn’t jell with me. I compared them with my old Walmart brand prenatals and their ingredients are identical. IDENTICAL. Would you rather pay almost $60 or $10?? 5 pills or 2 easy to chew gummies? I’m sorry but we’re in a recession here people.

Yeah, I knew it came with multiple pills, but for some reason, in my head, I was thinking they would be smaller in person. They’re not. I’m trying to get away from taking heaps of pills every morning as they trigger my nausea. Tell me why I need 5 pills for this? Also, even though the ingredients are printed, they’re really vague about which multivitamin does what. 2 pills are labeled vegan DHA and 3 simply “multivitamin”. Why is this important?? Personally, I’m not super sensitive, but as a sister and friend of those with allergies…. If you had a bad reaction to a pill wouldn’t you like to know which ingredient it was?? I don’t like the idea of just popping them and then trying to explain to the ER doc what it was that sent you there. Just food for thought….

I’d give them overall 5 stars for packaging, design, and quality. 5 stars if you’re someone who’s looking for an all Vegan, Gluten free, sustainable supplement and can AFFORD it. 3 stars if you’re someone who’s not and are on a budget. Don’t hate me, it’s just my honest opinion.

Not sure about the value.

I don't know that these vitamins are especially worth the premium price just because of the easy-to-remember, toss-in-your-bag convenience. If you often forget to take your vitamins, you could probably get a better value using the vitamins you have and pay $10 for a good storage option in case you find yourself out and forgot to take your pill(s). I do also find it strange there is lack of transparency about exact ingredients for each pill, which I'm not sure I would have noticed up front if not for another reviewer. This is definitely something to take into consideration before you purchase so you can talk to your doctor about them before you start taking them. Bottom line, the price would prevent me from getting another box because of these reasons. Set an alarm, get a container, know your ingredients.

Expensive & weird burps

Like others, I love that these come individually packaged. I actually just take the little packet into work with me and it helps me remember to take my vitamins. I really appreciate the eco friendly option, as well.

However, when I take these, my burps taste TERRIBLE. This might just be a me issue, but either way, it makes it hard to want to take these because for the rest of the day, I’ll have weird tasting burps that don’t go away with drinking water or eating something (or even taking the vitamins with food). Between that, the cost, and the pills being a little big, I don’t think I would repurchase. That said, if you feel like you want vitamins that are vegan or if you have some dietary needs, these could be good for you.

PRICEY! but convenient for some.

These prenatals are vegan, made of better quality ingredients than others out there. This is a convenient daily packet of all the required vitamins for a pregnant woman, and also for women that are currently trying to conceive. I do believe however that this 1 month supply of prenatals is overpriced. There are many others out there that are well over half the price, and only requires 1 or 2 tablets per day, instead of 5. If you are a pregnant woman, you know how difficult it is to keep the pill down as you are trying not to gag. Even non-pregnant women have this issue. I just don't think it's worth the extra cash.

a lot of pills to swallow

I’ve been taking the One A Day prenatal which packs everything into 1 pill (the advanced are 2 pills) so you see these are 5 pills to get the same benefits was kinda wild to me. I can’t swallow 5 pills at once as each pill is rather large. I have to take 3 separate rounds to get them all down. They do contain all the iron and folate that you need which is key for prenatals however I’d pass on these as I’d rather have less pills to swallow. I also dislike that they each come in a plastic bag as that is a lot of extra waste and it’s unnecessary.

So convenient!

I love that these Natalist Daily Prenatal Packs are individually wrapped - super convenient when you are busy and are sometimes forgetful like me! These really help you prioritize self-care by ensuring you get proper nutrition, whether you are preparing to have a baby, keeping your milk supply up (yes, you need these nutrients so you can transfer them to your baby), or postnatal (for every day). The pills aren't too big and are easy to swallow. These are also perfect for when you are travelling, so you don't need to bring all of your medicine bottles with you.
