Odd flavor and pricey
I am always down for trying new protein powders of all walks of life. Beef? Whey? Pea? Rice? Hemp? Chicken? Egg? Yep, I've tried them all but I find my mainstays are whey based protein powders from ultra inexpensive to ridiculously overpriced.

Enter Dr. Mercola's organic "Miracle" Whey Protein Power.

You receive a small, resealable bag of Organic Whey Concentrate protein powder that has Organic sunflower lecithin in it and that's it. Nice small list of ingredients.

I loathe protein powders that after shaking are more froth and bubbles than shake and you end up having to wait for the froth to dissipate before drinking. Luckily, this one shakes and mixes very well and is ready to drink immediately.

Upon first sip it does have a slightly odd taste compared to other grass fed, organic, non-everything whey concentrate and isolates I have tested. I went back for multiple sips and it is definitely there. It isn't a deal breaker but I'm not a fan of it.

Macros are right where you would want them to be for a concentrate (of which this is) for every 100cal you're getting about 20g of protein leaving a fat/carb overhead of 20cal extra.

My main issue is the price. $40-50 for less than 1lb of protein powder is on the VERY high end of pricey powders. Value is just not here. Value wise this is a 1 out of 5.

Macros it is a 5/5 if you're looking for a concentrate and not an isolate. I mix them up and drink concentrates when I want to feel sated longer and isolates usually during and after workouts for quicker processing.

Flavor is a 3 out of 5. I just can't get over that slightly odd taste and not the pure, milky creamy taste I've experienced with other concentrates that list the same benefits. I even tried mixing in some cacao which I do for other shakes to kick them up a notch and make some righteous chocolate milk (even though I always use unsweetened almond milk) and it just is lacking something.

Good macros, not so great flavor and poor value nets a 3 out of 5 overall.
