Foreign elements in powder
My husband and I are trying to maintain a whole foods, plant based diet. To keep nutritionn balanced, we like to try lots of new products. I decided to try this one. I put 8oz water, a banana, some ice, and two scoops of this collagen powder into my mini blender. The flavor was fantastic when compared to Vega One and Peak Performance (in my opinion - brighter, less murky flavor). But when I was drinking it, it felt like there was something gritty in my shake. It tasted so good, I ignored it.

But later, my husband got a glass of almond milk and stired the powder in with a mini whisk. While stirring, he found a large object in his glass.

We decided to use a tea strainer to sift the remaining powder from the container to see what all was in there. Considering the powder is extremely finely ground, and easily airborne, we were pretty surprised at what came out. See the attached photos.

I have no idea what these things are, and I'm half tempted to find a lab and get them tested. Maybe one is a shell from a nut. Maybe the sand-like stuff are minerals, or stone fragment from a grinding mill. Who knows. But I can't even guess what the large object is. I will say that if the sand stuff is minerals, they do fall to the bottom of the container, so they would not be evenly distributed between each scoop.
