VERY sweet. Recommend diluting just a bit

This is a very good soy protein powder. It blends well in a blender and has a lot of good protein and amino acids and prebiotics.

My only critique is that it is over-sweet for one cup of liquid. I mix with 1.25 cups of water or milk and that seems to dilute it just enough to retain a sweet flavor but not have it be icky sweet. Just bought my second canister, so I do like it.

Tastes nice – Truly (Hides taste of Kale well)

OK – first off, the container is about half empty – they almost lost a star for that but at least the container is not plastic. : ) This stuff does taste nice. Is it something I would drink all the time as a tasty treat – I wouldn’t go that far. To be honest it doesn’t really taste like cake to me – maybe sort of like batter? It is definitely NOT sweet – which I was VERY afraid of – especially as some protein powders are putridly sweet. It mixed up nice and foamy in my blender – like SUPER foamy (so much so I may try to top a cappuccino with this stuff). The directions say to add two scoops to 10 ounces of water or milk. I did 6 ounces of water and 4 ounces of oat milk. It tasted nice but not like dessert – but better than many other powders out there - truly. The BEST part was when I added a banana and a handful of kale and some ice to truly make a smoothie of it – it tasted great with all that stuff in it. Seriously – it hid the flavor of the kale very well – THAT I am not used to – and believe me I try to make my smoothies pretty green to add my veggies in the am. That was impressive! So, for that – I truly actually enjoyed my smoothie this morning – stupendous!
If you found my review helpful, why not click the “helpful” button. Thanks! Enjoy your day! : )

Too Much Sodium

Always bought Designer Protein Aria protein powder at 5% sodium per serving. Bought this Designer Soy and am so disappointed in the amount of sodium in this product. I haven't tasted it yet, but a serving provides 30% of Daily Value. Unacceptable in a protein powder!

Flavor of Ground Cardboard

Flavoring is very weak, what you taste is just the soy powder. Almost no sweetener (stevia leaf) is used either. This is advertised as "soy protien isilate", but contains about 20 other BS ingredients. Including high levels of calcium, which is deadly for me. Very unhappy customer.

Delicious Vegan Protein Powder

Finally found a vegan soy protein powder! It has a subtle delicious taste, definitely needs to be blended in a blender.

Angel Cake is a dramatization of the flavor

Overall - this is a really solid protein option! Before I get into all of the good things about it, I do want to address the elephant in the review. This doesn't tasted anything like 'Vanilla Angel Cake.' The taste is vanilla but a bit chalky and tastes like any other vanilla protein option on the market. With that being said, this protein is still really competitive with other proteins, especially if you're looking for a vegan option. The ingredients give me peace of mind; there are only 11 ingredients - 3 of which are vitamins. Each serving offers 20g of protein. 2 scoops = 1 serving at 100 calories. I often would double that for my smoothies, and I found that I was able to get more than 11 servings from the container (which is how many you are told you will get). At the current price, I think this is a great value. The consistency is creamy; I usually mixed mine with almond milk, at the recommended ratio of 2 scoops: 10 oz. If you are looking for a dairy-free protein option, I recommend giving this one a try. Don't expect the flavor to be cake-like, but I have a feeling you'll still enjoy it and get a good bang for your buck.
