Not sweet, just numbing and terrible burning. 3 stars⭐
I have Sjogren's Syndrome and fight severe dry mouth and bad breath all the time. Doctors tell patients to use products similar to these all the time and I was hoping that this spray would be a miracle worker, especially for my very dry mouth. For $160 for eight 20 ml small throat sprays, they should be. But, I didn't get any sweet flavor at all, I didn't get any actual flavor really. What I got was a numbing feeling in the back of my throat and then it spread into my mouth, with the sensation of mint/eucalyptus. With that sensation I got extreme burning deep in the tissues of my throat and mouth, along with a little itchy sensation. I assumed that was because of the numbness. I'm not sure how you get numbness, itching, and really bad burning all of the same time, but that's what I feel when I spray this in my throat/mouth.
I did read the instructions and warnings. It does say do not use if you have a pre-existing condition, but dry mouth, halitosis, and gum "health", or a nice way to get by without actually saying gingivitis, are all signs of, or they themselves are, pre-existing conditions. Also, there is conflicting information as to how often you should use this product. The listing says one thing, but the directions on the package say otherwise.
I will say that it does help produce more saliva, but enduring the burning, numbness, and itching for so long after spraying it in the back of my mouth/throat is just too much for me. I'm also not sure why anyone would charge such an astronomical price for this product. It seems like taking advantage of people who are in a bad situation and robbing them blind for the cure. The price is $20 per 20 ml throat spray. I think that's a little unreasonable.
