Pouri fraudulently changed the best by date.

Pouri has fraudulently changed the best by/expiration date of its protein power. I have purchased the protein powder for my two children and I took the additional steps the check the packaging of the powder after my wife complained of a rotten smell from it . Upon further inspection, I have discovered that Puori covered the actual expiration date on its packaging with a sticker that changed the expiration date to the sane month next year. I have purchased this item in the first week of November 2019 and the actual expiration date on the package was November 2019. The sticker that covered the actual expiration date shied November 2020. I can’t speak for any other consumers but if a company is capable of defrauding it’s customers with expiration date of their product, the next logical question one would ask might be what else is company capable of and can I trust this company at all ? I am utterly sickened to to my stomach from the thought that I fell for this company’s BS PR. I have been also using their fish oil , but needless to say I am dropping this company altogether Immediately. I will be reporting this to the relevant state and federal agencies about this matter.

Puori vs Naked Protein....Wanted to love it, but couldn't

I compared Puori Whey Protein Powder - Bourbon Vanilla - PW1 Pasture Raised Non-GMO - 100% Natural and Pure with Naked Protein Powder Blend - Egg, Whey and Casein Protein Blend.<br /><br />After reading the glowing reviews about the ingredients, Puori seemed like a slam dunk. I didn't see an ingredient list on the listing which I thought was odd. I asked what the ingredients were and quickly received a response "The ingredients are actually on the back of the Puori Whey Protein Pouch right beside the nutrition facts" The ingredients list image does not list all of the ingredients and the nutrition image posted on Amazon does not show the ingredients portion. Instead, the image on Amazon lists "Whey Protein, Sugar, Bourban Vanilla..."<br /><br />I had to go to Puori's website to get the actual ingredients which are:<br />Pasture Raised whey protein concentrate (WPC) (milk),<br />Organic coconut palm sugar,<br />natural flavor,<br />Vanilla seeds,<br />Vanilla powder (Gum arabic, Vanilla extract).<br />I'll get back to the Gum Arabic later.<br />I do question why a healthy food product company omits the ingredients list on their listing?<br /><br />Anyways, on to the taste test. I mixed 8 ounces of milk with the recommended scoop of Puori in a blender for about 30 seconds.<br /><br />I did the same with Naked Protein.<br /><br />The Puori was slightly on the sweet side. It had a silky almost strange gooey texture to it. The flavor was fine, a bit sweeter than it needs to be in my opinion. But I couldn't get over the strange silk/gooey texture. I am convinced this odd texture is a result of the Gum Arabic. I would love to hear from Puori about this ingredient. If mixed in with your favorite smoothie ingredients, you most likely will not notice a difference in texture.<br /><br />Wikipedia says "The gum is harvested commercially from wild trees, mostly in Sudan (80%) and throughout the Sahel, from Senegal to Somalia." "Gum arabic is a complex polysaccharide and soluble dietary fibre that is generally recognized as safe for human consumption. An indication of harmless flatulence occurs in some people taking large doses of 30 g (1 oz) or more per day."<br /><br />On to Naked Protein-<br />This product displays their actual ingredients list:<br />ONLY FOUR INGREDIENTS: 100% Grass-Fed Pure Whey from Northern California, Micellar Casein from US & Canadian farms, Egg Whites protein from US farm eggs and Sunflower Lecithin to aid mixing.<br /><br />Naked tasted bland, which I am okay with because I prefer to add my own flavor, berries, a few drops of honey, etc.. I read from other users that it foamed up quite a bit. This was my experience as well. This can be countered by mixing your other ingredients into your smoothie first, and then adding Naked towards the end with a shorter blending time.<br /><br />Cost wise,<br />Puori $58<br />Naked $26<br /><br />I paid full price for both products, did not receive any discounts or freebies.

Received Expired Product

I received expired product. You can clearly see the label - BD (expiration date) 11/20, but under that label it was an actual print "best before" 11/19! I don't know if it's manufacturer way to cheat or seller, but this is disgusting. Will be returning this product and not going to buy again since there is no trust to brand or seller.

Great product

I purchased this whey protein based on the reviews I found in The Clean Label Project. I'm not a professional dietician, nor am I a competitive body builder. I'm just an over-40 male reminiscing the days where I was cut, defined and lean 20/30-something.<br /><br />My personal opinion is that this powder mixes quite well, tastes awesome, and has increased my protein intake by exactly what I wanted. I will definitely purchase again.

Great Product but Pricey

I purchased this product because I had read somewhere that is was supposed to be one of the cleanest proteins out there. However, that is not the case for the chocolate flavor. I find it very frustrating to not know what you are really getting when purchasing a product, especially if you are buying something considered organic for instance and finding out it has more &#34;crap&#34; in it than something non-organic.<br /><br />Anyway, I love the taste of this product, perfect flavor and sweetness and no artificial crap or funky aftertaste. You do have to really shake it up and not just stir; however, I always still find one chunk of chocolate at the bottom of the glass. My budget is very tight and while I'm willing to pay for quality, I think I'll try the next product down on the clean list as I've used it before many years ago and it's almost half the price if I recall. Didn't seem like there were as many serving as stated on package either.<br /><br />I am not a bodybuilder so can't really comment on other details, I was only looking for another source of protein since I rarely eat meat of any kind.

This is my new favorite whey protein

This is my new favorite whey protein. It tastes great, but most importantly it was shown to be free of dangerous chemicals (Clean Label Project). As I use it daily, I want to make sure my whey is as clean as possible. A bit pricey, but not more than other grass-fed brands I used to buy which turned out to contain a fair amount of toxic chemicals and heavy metals. Highly recommend.
