Which Magnesium Citrate Is This? Pure what??

Unfortunately, different chemical compounds are being labeled as magnesium citrate. Those selling for nutritional use should be stating exactly which chemical compound they are selling as magnesium citrate.
Wikipedia.org states “The name "magnesium citrate" is ambiguous and sometimes may refer to other salts such as trimagnesium citrate which has a magnesium:citrate ratio of 3:2.”
As of April, 2021...this item’s chemical compound is very chalky and gritty, has no flavor, has a slightly alkaline pH, and does not dissolve well in water. Apparently needs to be stirred up in water or juice and then swallowed before it settles back to bottom of glass. I've purchased other Magnesium Citrate products that have a tart flavor, an acidic pH, and are more soluble in water.

INEFFECTIVE AT DOSES UP TO 1/4 CUP - WANTED TO LIKE IT BUT...

I soooo wanted to like this. But unfortunately, it has proven to be completely ineffective. This coming from someone who takes 800mg of magnesium oxide daily, I was hoping for another more absorbable option. I tried dosages as high as 1/4 cup with absolutely no effect!!! I should have been running to the bathroom at worst.

Made in US

I use this product to have a BM every morning. And it works. I don’t like taking the size of the magnesium pills, so I’ve always used powder. I like this one because it’s made in the US by a small company.
None of the powders really dissolve in water but this one seems to be a finer grain so it goes down easier. Dump, swirl, swig fast!

Super gritty and hard to swallow

This magnesium is super gritty and felt like it was scraping my throat on the way down. I felt like I was choking when I drank it. I thought I would try this kind because it was cheaper than the kind I always get on here but I learned my lesson. It’s not ground as finely. Unfortunately for me I still had some of the old kind left to finish and by the time I realized how bad this stuff was it was too late to return it.

Complete waste of my money

Like another reviewer stated, even at more than 1/4 cup serving per day, my family found this mag cit completely ineffective for creating a bowel movement. Our tried and true brand is much more expensive and often out of stock, but it is worth the price if this is the alternative.
