Which Magnesium Citrate Is This? Pure what??
Unfortunately, different chemical compounds are being labeled as magnesium citrate. Those selling for nutritional use should be stating exactly which chemical compound they are selling as magnesium citrate.
Wikipedia.org states “The name "magnesium citrate" is ambiguous and sometimes may refer to other salts such as trimagnesium citrate which has a magnesium:citrate ratio of 3:2.”
As of April, 2021...this item’s chemical compound is very chalky and gritty, has no flavor, has a slightly alkaline pH, and does not dissolve well in water. Apparently needs to be stirred up in water or juice and then swallowed before it settles back to bottom of glass. I've purchased other Magnesium Citrate products that have a tart flavor, an acidic pH, and are more soluble in water.
