I really did love this product, blended well in my coffee. The next time I purchased, very excited to receive, it was so damaged, that it wasn't delivered. I was bummed. When it goes to plastic, I'll reconsider purchasing.

This collagen supplement contains 15 grams of collagen per serving, plus 100mg of vitamin C  - which aids your body in the assimilation of collagen.<br />Recommendations regarding collagen dosage varies, but a typical recommendation is anywhere from 1.2grams  -  15 grams, (or 1200mg-15,000 mg) per day for benefits to hair, nails, joints and muscles - this supplement contains 15 grams per scoop/serving, so even half a scoop makes it a decent dose of collagen. I wish I'd known about the importance of collagen when I was in my 20's (I'm 63) because I would have begun taking a supplement way back then. Collagen supplements are especially important as you age and if your sugar intake is high, if you smoke or drink, if you get an excessive amount of UV light, or if you are experiencing joint degeneration, which leads to painful joints. This is a very pleasant collagen to take - very palatable because it blends thoroughly in both hot or cold drinks and has a pleasant berry flavor. That is about all I know about the collagen itself.<br />There is no information on the package nor the listing about what source of collagen it is, what type/s it has, where it is sourced from, or if it is sourced sustainably. Giving the foreign name for words "hydrolyzed collagen" does nothing to make it special or explanatory.<br />The packaging seems like a nice switch from plastic tubs, but sadly, there is a statement on it saying that it is not biodegradable, and to discard it with your regular trash. It does save space.<br />With such limited information, I really don't know what form/s of collagen I'm taking. I do appreciate the added Vitamin C. I did forget about that... It would be great if the company was more transparent. I would not repurchase because of the lack of important facts, nor would I recommend it.
