Vague Product Description
I blame myself for purchasing this without closely looking at the label before ordering. The ingredients state this is made from "berberine root," but there is no such thing as a berberine plant. Berberine is an alkaloid that is found in the leaves, bark, and roots of several plants. The powder in the pills is made from "Hydrastis Canadensis L.," which is generally known as Goldenseal and which does contain a small percentage of berberine, however, whether we're getting berberine extracted from Goldenseal or just straight Goldenseal powder itself is never clarified.

It is never stated if the powder is an extract, or at what strength or purity it is--we only know the weight of the Goldenseal powder in the recommended serving size. The package also states "lab verified" (not sure what is even verified here) but I can't find any verification documents on their website (which many companies offer for customer perusal), nor do they list this product in their catalog.

Frankly, all I know about this product is that it is Goldenseal powder, and the amount of berberine in it is a complete mystery. I know supplements aren't regulated, but this product feels like a blatant bait and switch.
