Added Ascorbic Acid in this product.CEO explained the ascorbic is comprised partially of corn. FYI.
They admitted to adding ascorbic acid to the product during Facebook and phone conversations. When I pressed them for the composition of the ascorbic acid, they stonewalled me and told me it is proprietary information.** Eventually, the CEO was kind enough to explain that ascorbic acid is in this product and it is corn derived. Good of him to step up and admit it.**

From Facebook:

Me:
I appreciate your response. So, in your example, you state that you add Vitamin C to the oranges. Is this added Vitamin C ascorbic acid?

MegaFood:
Yes, we do integrate extra ascorbic acid into the whole oranges.

Me:
I appreciate your honest reply. I do have dietary issues with corn however. Isn't ascorbic made in part, with corn? Just trying to watch over my system.

Megafood:
Currently this is not information that we can confirm. If you are concerned with even a trace amount of corn, our products containing vitamin c may not be the best option for you, as we can not confirm that the added ascorbic acid is not from corn.

Me:
I'm confused. Why is your company not able to confirm the contents of its ingredients? Shouldn't you know everything that is going into your supplements? Seems like a pretty simple question to me.

Megafood:
Hi xxxx, I'm sorry you feel as though we are not being honest.
