Formula Change - Added Oxides

I switched to SNAC specifically because all other brands had seemingly switched to Zinc Oxide instead of Chelated Zinc. Your body does not absorb Zinc Oxide - it is useless. All previous bottles I've had of SNAC ZMA-5 were purely chelated Zinc (Aspartate and Mono-L-Methionine), and it was a 5 star product.

Well for my last bottle, SNAC pulled a fast one and added Oxide (for magnesium as well). The label you see on amazon is not the label you currently receive. I was wondering why I wasn't feeling the normal zinc effect, checked the label on my bottle, and sure enough.

For all of you reading out there - Zinc can not be absorbed properly unless it is chelated, rendering SNAC's current formula a total waste. Please go back to the old formula.

Mixed, works but for me not completely benign

I'm using this for sleep support and so far I think it's working. I haven't been conducting my usual three am ceiling inspection. Dreams are vivid and complex and kind of weird but not in a bad way. I realized I hadn't been dreaming much at all before trying ZMA which is likely an indicator of sleep quality. I have had no grogginess in the am past the usual. The only negative is two nights out of the last seven I have felt a slightly pounding heartbeat which is disconcerting when you are completely at rest. I'm looking over my daily intake for too much B6 or possibly high Magnesium which is the only reasons I could think this would occur. I have only been taking one pill as opposed to the recommended two and I won't increase the dosage. If the heat rate issue proves to be linked to the ZMA I will stop taking it. I'm trying to put myself in a relaxed state not put some hard operating hours on my ticker.

5-HTP makes the difference.

Since using this instead of a standard ZMA product, I can definitely say there is a noticeable difference in the effects. While I would occasionally get those "intense" dreams from ZMA before, now with the 5-HTP added I experience this type of sleep every single night. I have also noticed waking up feeling a bit more "positive" than with standard ZMA products, almost as if my sleep was more refreshing than before. I definitely seek out this specific product whenever I'm running low on ZMA.

Not For Everyone

Took This Product 2 Night In A Row @ Recommended Dose For Men Of 3 Capsules & Did Not Sleep A Wink,Like Full Blown Insomnia ! That Being Said Wife Took It @ Recommended Dose For Women Of 2 Capsules & Seems To Sleep Fine,Not Better Or Worse. On 3rd Night I Went Back To My Regular Optimum Nutrition ZMA Supplement & Was Back To Sleeping Like A Baby,Seems The Additional 5HTP Ingredient Isn't For Everyone,Hope This Helps 😊

Will not buy again.

Did not notice a real difference, will not buy again. I will stick to 5-HTP.
