Tasty, but false packaging

Yummy, but extremely small. This wouldn’t be a problem except for the misleading packaging. The picture shows an entire bar next to the wrapper it came in. I should HOPE a “bar” smaller than a tea bag is only 100 calories! Overall, I’m very disappointed

Mislead by healthy ingredients claim

Very disappointed. I was mislead by false claims, of the ingredients in these bars.
The Amazon description said, “ dates, cranberries, tapioca syrup, peanuts, white chocolate and collagen. That’s it! “ So, I thought, alright, I will try them.
Mind you, I have a rare autoimmune disease that doesn’t allow my body to handle sodium or sugar correctly, and I am allergic to soy. So, I avoid sugar, salt and soy all the time. I was so happy to think I found a convenient food that I could actually have.
Then, the bars came, and I open one to try them. I took one bite, and it seemed salty and sweeter than I’m used to. I read the ingredients and I’m shocked!! The ACTUAL ingredients are: dates, cranberries, sugar, sunflower oil, tapioca fiber syrup, pea protein, Soy protein crisps, soy protein isolate, tapioca starch, salt, peanuts, blueberries, white chocolate coating( palm kernel oil, milk, whey, palm oil, soy lecithin, vanilla),collagen, raspberry powder( raspberry, maltodextrin, corn starch).
Yuck!! Sorry. Not the healthy, low sugar, low sodium, non soy snack I was hoping for. I spit it out and brushed my teeth. I would have never bought these had I known!
They have nerve calling these “ bars”, too. I mean , they are about an inch long.
You’re better off having an oatmeal raisin cookie.
You may be thinking, but they are only 78 grams of sodium. True, but with my rare condition, if it’s added salt and not sodium naturally found in the ingredients, like the whey or the tapioca, it gives me edema. That’s bad water retention in my body. So bad it hurts. So, I eat an extra low sodium diet. It’s hard to find snacks or travel food at all. Trust me.

Not a good value.

These are about a third the size of normal “bars”

Decent bar. Poor quality control on packaging.

[[VIDEOID:81121e9ebe36265a3800adbc4bc6c04c]] I was enjoying these bars. Taste is good. While others note they are small 1/2 bars they are also 1/2 the calories of the big bars. So found them to be a good inbetween meals low calorie/high protein snacks. That said, I’m giving three stars because a few of the bars had packaging issues. One had 1/2 of a half bar (1/4 bar) & another had a stray piece in addition to half bar. Made me feel uneasy as extra piece looked like it was broken off by hand vs a machine/production/packaging error.

Not on our To Buy List

Bought these for my son and he described them as “below average” taste.
