Huge Horse size Pills
These are not the one I usually order, but they were cheaper, so I thought I would try them. BIG mistake, and I do mean BIG! The tablet size reminds me of the “horse” pills my father used to give to our horses, and cattle if they became ill. I won’t be buying this again, because I am a small ‘human’ female, and these pills are ridiculously huge. I am not one to waste anything I have paid for, so I am having to use my mortar & pestle to crush the tablets, add a little water, and make a slurry that is easy to swallow, but tastes like 💩 I will never buy these again, unless the company figures out a way to make pills that are for the ‘human’ esophagus. I started crushing them because one time they became stuck in my esophagus, and caused extremely painful esophageal spasms. I finally mixed Mineral Oil in a small glass of orange juice, and drank small amounts, until the pills moved. I could actually feel the “pill bolus” moving down my esophagus. Just saying, I am a ‘human,’ and not a horse.

Pill is double the size with half the magnesium of other brands
Compare this product with Country Life Chelated Magnesium. That brand provides 250 mg in a single medium-sized pill. I couldn't find it a few weeks ago under Prime, so I tried Amazon Elements. I did not read the fine print on the back re: serving size, just the mg listing on the cover label - my bad - I'm used to more straightforward labeling. Now, rather than the 6 medium-sized pills I used to take daily, it's necessary to hork back 12 Godzilla-sized Amazon Elements Chelated Magnesium pills. I will finish the bottle, my punishment for not scrutinizing the fine print, and never order these again. On a more positive note, the 12 behemoth pills do work as well as the 6 smaller ones from the other mfr.

Seems to help with insomnia and maybe anxiety
This works well for me for dealing with insomnia. I was taking four of the tablets before bed and this worked really well. I've since dropped to two tablets before bed...read on. Getting ~1000mg of magnesium daily was my goal. However, even with this being one of the better magnesium supplements for preventing this symptom, if you take four of these it will REALLY clear out your pipes. I got away with a few days of four tabs/day, then my insides felt like they had been turned into mag-lev train lines.<br />I am under the impression these have helped relieve some generalized anxiety which I believe was at least a contributor to my frequent insomnia. I could be wrong though. Maybe I just began to feel better during the day because I started sleeping so well. I can tell you with certainty, it has been an absolute godsend for sleep.<br />I don't know if it will work so well for everyone, but I think it's worth the ~$12 bet to give it a try.<br />The tablets are pretty big. Do not ever try to take them without water, unless you love choking...

Pretty great!
For all my lady woes: I take magnesium to ease cramps around my period/ovulation and to help with bloating and water retention. I also haven’t noticed any headaches which is common for me, seen a like this is helping that too. This type of magnesium apparently absorbs best and it does not have any gross side affects, if you get me. I would highly recommend it. I know some same magnesium calms, but I haven’t really noticed that. I’m overly anxious and it is, so I wouldn’t be the best candidate for that test! I only knocked it down a star because I honestly don’t know how this is sourced, and a piece of me wants to distrust it because it’s amazon. But I’m going to have some faith because I feel a lot better. Full disclosure: these are horse sized pills. Drink a lot of water. :)

Good, but not great...
I think that the ease of swallowing is underrated. I think that the size mentally biases people into thinking it will be hard to swallow and that makes it so for them. Actually, some pills are very “grabby”, or they dissolve quickly and that makes them stick to your tongue, or start to give you an unpleasant taste. These pills seem coated to form a smooth exterior that helps the pill go down easily, and not dissolve instantly.<br /><br />They are indeed large, as pictured next to a centrum mens multivitamin, one dose ibuprofen, and one dose acetaminophen. If that is a problem for you, avoid these.<br /><br />I rate cost effectiveness as 3/5 because another brand called Innate Vitality (IV) that I like sells capsules of 500mg glycinated magnesium that I believe is easier to swallow and is much smaller while also containing nearly double the magnesium.<br /><br />This pill is $0.08/pill, IV is $0.16/pill. But per pill, you get 3.7 times the magnesium with IV. When you do the math you find that these two products are practically identical in price per magnesium. They both work out to be approximately $0.30 per 1000mg of magnesium. Considering that, I definitely think that IV is the better product.<br /><br />I also like to take two of the IV (the label says that is okay for a stronger effect) and Although it could be confirmation bias, I feel like it relaxes my muscles noticeably more. Taking four of these large pills is less pleasant than two little capsules. But if size is no issue for you,I could see you preferring these pills if you do not like pills that are less dense than water and float in your mouth.

Cured my irregular heartbeat with out adverse side effects.
I had tried magnesium oxide capsules and the effect was the same as their color, black. My lower intestinal tract did not like those capsules. The Chelated Magnesium worked much better.
