Joint pain reduced by 80%

I have an ankle that is wrecked. Initial injury decades ago in high school, reinjured at least 35 times since, including at least 6 very serious re-injuries.

2 years ago I had an MRI and was given a surgical referral because the ankle had severely deteriorated. I decided to put off surgery until I got back in shape because I had gained weight and was out of shape because it was too painful to workout on the ankle. Much of the soft tissues were fully torn and loose and would get pinched when walking.

I bought a Teeter Freestep and created a HIIT program that worked out my legs 1 day, upper body PUSHING the next and upper body PULLING the next day, then the 4th day cardio. While the machine is gentle on the joints, it did hurt my ankle but I worked out anyway.

After 6 months of workouts, I started to take the Nutricost Grass-Fed Collagen Powder (Hydrolysate) mixed with whey protein. I also upped my workouts to have a morning and evening session of about 33 minutes each. A few weeks after starting to take the Collagen Hydrolysate, my ankle pain was reduced by about 80%.

Did some additional research on my supplements and discovered that this is one of the things that Collagen Hydrolysate helps. I had read this when I bought the product, but didn't believe that it was anything more than hype. However, my ankle pain is mostly gone and it FEELS stronger, as if there is some healing going on.

I didn't but it for this reason, I bought it to have more comprehensive and diverse protein supplementation, but even if it doesn't do ANYTHING else, it has done something really fantastic for my issue.

Has it done anything else? Maybe. During my workout routine, I tore elbow tendons. I altered my routine and did some therapy, but the issue was painful and lingered for 5 months. After a few weeks of Collagen Hydrolysate, I noticed that this issue mostly resolved at the same time that my ankle began to improve. That's when it occurred to me that

Hydrolysate protein is broken down to the point that it is essentially partially digested and is absorbed by the body very quickly. Whey Hydrolysate tastes so bad that it's nearly undrinkable, but Collagen Hydrolysate is far more palatable.

I've worked out most of my adult life and I've taken protein drinks before, in that entire time my ankle has never improved, it was a long, slow decline. This time is the first time that I've taken Collagen Hydrolysate, it's the only NEW variable and my ankle has shown marked improvement. It has to be because of the Collagen Hydrolysate.

If you have some joint damage and pain, it's worth a shot trying Collagen Hydrolysate to see if it works for you. If this is a temporary improvement and my ankle declines again, I will update.

Pretty Good

I like this collagen although it's not as chocolately as others I have had.. it dissolves in hot liquids really well and I would buy it again.

Good but not great

This product was priced reasonable and mixes well, but the chocolate flavor is a little flat.

Vanilla is delicious the chocolate is not great

The vanilla is delicious although a little too sweet but just add more water, the chocolate does not mix well and warm or cold water flavors not as good as the vanilla is would like if you came out with some different flavors like raspberry or strawberry Etc

Good stuff

I bought this for the health benefits, more specifically the joint health and skin elasticity. It taste good by itself but I usually mix it in with my post workout protein shake. I'm very satified.
